Acura Acura is preparing to say goodbye to one of the more interesting performance SUVs in its lineup. Production of the MDX Type S will pause after the 2026 model year, leaving the regular MDX to carry on without its turbocharged performance flagship. The decision adds another notable change to Acura’s product portfolio following the end of the TLX sedan, the ZDX electric SUV, and the pause in production of the manual-transmission Integra. For enthusiasts who have appreciated Acura’s recent push toward more distinctive performance models, the disappearance of the MDX Type S will certainly be noticed. The…
King’s staff want to get negotiations back on track after years of bargaining. Bizoo_n/Getty Images Staff at Candy Crush Saga developer King could go on strike next week, according to statements from Swedish labor unions Unionen and Sveriges Ingenjörer. King’s developers have been attempting to negotiate a union contract for years, but have now issued a strike notice after their proposed collective bargaining agreement (CBA) was shot down by studio leadership in August, Kotaku reports. “Our members at King are entitled to secure conditions, a say in their workplace and clear rules that apply to everyone,”…
Every time I drive a Tesla Model X, what strikes me most isn’t its impressive speed or near-silent operation—it’s the vehicle’s versatility. Executive express, family flagship, adventure vehicle, spaceship; the rocket-shaped EV fills so many roles with ease. One day it’s ferrying kids to school with a trunk full of soccer gear; the next it’s picking up a client from the airport, spotless and silent. The Model X shifts between those lives without blinking—and the mats underneath it have to keep up. This summer, we upgraded one with a full set of TuxMat floor mats, complementing the machine’s aesthetic and…

UPDATE: 2026/09/17 15:00 EST BY SEAN MCMANUS The New Silverado/Sierra 1500 Out-Muscles Competitors We added a brief summary of how the new 5.7-liter and 6.6-liter V8s will allow General Motors’ new truck to beat all the competition in terms of towing capacity. Plus, the entry-level four-cylinder engine is more powerful than ever. General Motors’ new Generation VI small-block V8 has a number of improvements over its predecessors – hopefully including the ability to remain intact beyond the first 30,000 miles – but some DIY customers may balk at one of the changes. It sounds as though the 5.7-liter L76 and…

It could be argued that the decade of Mazdaspeed vehicles represented the high-water mark for the Japanese brand in America, at least from a performance standpoint. The automaker introduced four turbocharged models, starting with the Protegé in 2003, followed by the MX-5 Miata in 2004, the Mazdaspeed6 sedan in 2006, and finally the Mazdaspeed3 hatchback, which arrived in 2007 and stayed much longer than the others, until 2013. 2010_MAZDASPEED3 side at trackMazda Today, we hear from Japan that Mazda might resurrect the Mazdaspeed philosophy by introducing the Mazda Spirit Racing 3, a hot hatchback version of the Mazda3 powered by…

The Drive 🤝 your inbox. Every weekday The Daily Brief wraps up the biggest stories and our exclusive reporting on the auto industry and car culture. Even though a lot of car companies are doing digital gauges these days, not many do them well. There are a few exceptions, like Ford and its Fox Body-style Mustang cluster, but too many automakers use their blank canvas to create something banal. Not this guy. Tyeler Andersen owns a first-gen Mitsubishi Montero, and rather than inserting a screen to display some sterile speedo, he recreated the original look with special Easter eggs that…
