Avatr Technology said Monday that it will launch the Avatr 07L, a large 5-seat SUV (sport utility vehicle), at an event in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, on August 8.
Pre-sales for the model began on July 17. The Max+ battery electric vehicle (BEV) and Ultra tri-motor BEV versions are priced at 249,900 yuan ($36,800) and 279,900 yuan, respectively.
The family-oriented 5-seat SUV measures 4,910 millimeters in length, 1,980 millimeters in width and 1,650 millimeters in height, with a wheelbase of 2,990 millimeters.
Compared with the existing Avatr 07, it is 85 millimeters longer and has a wheelbase extended by 50 millimeters, providing additional rear-seat and cargo space.
The Max+ BEV is powered by a high-performance rear electric motor producing up to 305 kilowatts (409 hp), allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 5.9 seconds.
The variant uses a 89.33-kWh CATL Shenxing 5C fast-charging battery and has a CLTC range of 725 kilometers.
The Ultra version features a tri-motor distributed all-wheel-drive system, cutting the 0-to-100-km/h acceleration time to 3.7 seconds. It has a CLTC range of 650 kilometers.
Smart features are among the Avatr 07L’s main selling points. The model is one of the first vehicles equipped with Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 5 driver-assistance system and a roof-mounted 896-channel LiDAR sensor.
Avatr said it is the highest-spec LiDAR currently available in a mass-produced vehicle and can accurately detect an object 14 centimeters high from a distance of 120 meters.
The Avatr 07L will support the roaming cruise assist (RCA) function. Drivers can activate NCA assisted driving with one tap on any road without first setting a navigation route.
The model will enter China’s fiercely competitive 250,000-yuan to 300,000-yuan electric SUV market, where it will compete with models including the Xiaomi YU7 for family buyers.
The existing Avatr 07 will remain on sale following adjustments to its variant lineup, Avatr previously said.
The Avatr 07 was first launched in September 2024 and was the brand’s first model to offer both battery electric vehicle (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) options.
The upcoming launch of the Avatr 07L comes as the company accelerates its push for a Hong Kong listing. It refiled its listing application with the Hong Kong stock exchange in late June.
Avatr’s previous prospectus, filed in November 2025, lapsed in May after reaching the end of its 6-month validity period.
The new Avatr 12 and Avatr 06T both offer BEV and EREV options, targeting China’s premium EV market.
