Ram, formerly under the Dodge umbrella, is no stranger to earth-shaking muscle. With a history of beefy V8s powering some of its most prolific pickups, the American manufacturer has blessed us with V10, Hemi, and Hellcat-powered models that stand as testaments to American power and capability. That said, we haven’t had a proper road-focused muscle truck since the days of the Ram 1500 SRT10, original Ford F-150 Lightning, and GMC Syclone, all of which ceased production more than two decades ago. This changes now!

The Ram 1500 Rumble Bee Has No Equal In 2026

Ram just announced the release of a new truck addition to its lineup — one that takes what we love about the most intense model, the 2027 Ram 1500 TRX SRT, and equips it with all the hardware (and software) it needs to handle business on the track. Inspired by Ram’s re-entry into NASCAR’s Truck Series, the 1500 Rumble Bee lineup features upgrades to nearly every aspect of the 1500 to ensure it delivers thrilling performance when you accelerate, all while being able to take corners like a genuine track weapon.

The Hemis Are Back And Better Than Ever

The base engine for the Ram 1500 Rumble Bee is the tried-and-true 5.7-liter Hemi V8, with 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque, allowing it a 6.1-second 0-60 mph time. Stepping up to the 1500 Rumble Bee 392 gets you the infallible 6.4-liter naturally aspirated V8 that puts out 470 horsepower and 455 pound-feet of torque, allowing the truck to hit 60 mph in 5.2 seconds.

Those looking for more power are in luck, as the muscle car segment-defining 6.2-liter Hellcat returns to the streets with777 horsepower and 680 pound-feet of torque, making it the most powerful and fastest production pickup ever, with a 0-60 sprint of 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 170 mph. Aside from the notable power on tap, the Ram 1500 Rumble Bee can tow up to 8,890 pounds when properly equipped.

    Upgrades Go Beyond Powerful V8s

The chassis has been trimmed by 13 inches between the axles, and the track has been widened by roughly seven inches, which, while giving the 1500 Rumble Bee a more aggressive stance, also serves as ground zero for a very unique and purposeful body style: quad-cab short-bed. This body style provides more stability and responsiveness at speed without sacrificing its usability as an actual pickup truck.

The aerodynamic sculpting also gets a dose of aggression, though it’s more defined on the top-performing 392 Track Pack and SRT variant. These models get bolder, more functional aero features, like a 4.5-inch splitter, a front aero shield beneath the engine, a rear spoiler, air ducts, and a special tonneau cover that aids aerodynamics at high speeds.

    Real Track-Ready Guts

Every 1500 Rumble Bee model gets full-time active four-wheel drive, which allows the truck to maintain grip and cornering momentum, though buyers can simply switch that off when it comes time to smoke the rear tires, naturally. Drive modes, including Sport, Snow, and Tow, allow buyers to tailor their driving based on the situation; the 392 Track Pack and SRT variants also get Track mode, which, like the other modes, adjusts the stability control, throttle mapping, braking, and steering.

The 1500 Rumble Bee and 1500 Rumble Bee 392 utilize independent front suspension with a short-long arm design, which is responsible for that wider track mentioned earlier, along with Bilstein monotube performance shocks. The 1500 Rumble Bee 392 Track Pack and SRT variants get standard air suspension, benefiting from its premium capabilities in daily driving and on the track. Large brakes, and even larger tires, sew up the track-ready package, though an asymmetrical LSD is set to be offered later down the line. All of these allow the Ram 1500 Rumble Bee to handle, as Ram puts it, “untrucklike,” which means it won’t lumber around the track and two-wheel corners when pushing the limit. At least, that’s the goal.

The Ram 1500 Rumble Bee is set to launch toward the end of 2026, with the entry-level 5.7-liter variant kicking off sales. The 392 and SRT variants are set to arrive in the first half of 2027. We assume pricing will be revealed closer to those release dates.
