Ranking Every Luxury Car Brand In America By Its Cheapest Model

The average new vehicle transaction price quietly blew past the $50,000 mark late last year – a number that would’ve sounded absurd not that long ago. And luxury brands – once the obvious culprit in pushing prices up – are now just part of the crowd.

That’s right. Plenty of luxury brands today let you hop behind the wheel of a new vehicle for less than the average sticker. To help you find them, we’ve ranked the most affordable model available for 2026 from every luxury brand in the US. You might be surprised that quite a few of them don’t just undercut the average new vehicle price, but do so by a significant margin.

The list ranks vehicles from the most expensive to the cheapest. All figures reflect MSRP and, while accurate at the time of writing, are subject to change. Ultra-luxury brands have been excluded due to their low sales volume and because even their entry-level models live in a completely different financial universe – one where the starting price already assumes you don’t have to ask about it.

    16

    Maserati Grecale

    Priced From $84,500

    Engine

    Twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6

    Power

    385 hp

    Torque

    368 lb-ft

    0-60 mph

    5 seconds

The Maserati Grecale is the most affordable model in the Maserati lineup, though “affordable” is doing a lot of heavy lifting here since, by most buyers’ standards, the compact SUV still sits firmly in the expensive category. The good news is that even in base Modena guise, you get strong performance, a surprising amount of standard equipment, and a properly classy interior. Launched to chase the Porsche Macan’s magic, it hasn’t pulled in customers at the same rate. Steep depreciation, however, is creating tempting bargains on the used market.

    15

    Lucid Air

    Priced From $70,900

    Engine

    Single-motor electric

    Power

    430 hp

    Torque

    406 lb-ft

    0-60 mph

    4.5 seconds

The Lucid Air sedan is hardly an entry-level vehicle, but it earns a place on this list since Lucid – as an EV startup – doesn’t have much else in its lineup beyond the more expensive Lucid Gravity SUV. The base trim is the Air Pure, and it comes generously equipped with features such as a 34.0-inch curved display, heated steering wheel, front and rear heated seats, Apple CarPlay, and a full suite of driver-assist technology. And thanks to steep EV depreciation, a lightly used Air Pure starts to look like a surprisingly smart buy.

    14

    Porsche Macan

    Priced From $65,400

    Engine

    Turbocharged 2.0-liter Inline-4

    Power

    261 hp

    Torque

    295 lb-ft

    0-60 mph

    6 seconds

When it comes to entry-level luxury cars, it’s hard to top the Porsche Macan. The compact SUV excels in almost all areas, especially performance, and even in base guise you’re not going to be disappointed. It’s also well-equipped as standard, with 19-inch wheels, heated front seats, Apple CarPlay, and a wireless charger. The Macan has been around since the 2015 model year, and while Porsche launched a second-generation electric version for 2024, slower demand has prompted development of a new combustion-powered successor that will wear a different name, as the Macan badge is now reserved for the EV.

    13

    Polestar 4

    Priced From $56,400

    Engine

    Single-motor electric

    Power

    272 hp

    Torque

    253 lb-ft

    0-60 mph

    6.9 seconds

With Polestar stopping sales of the Polestar 2 in the US last year, the larger Polestar 4 has taken the mantle of the Swedish EV brand’s most affordable offering. The 4 is a compact SUV with a sleek design that makes it look and feel more like a lifted sedan than an SUV, and one interesting quirk is the complete lack of a rear windshield: the vehicle instead relies entirely on a camera system for rear visibility. Standard performance is decent but won’t exactly set your hair on fire, and the standard equipment list is generous, making this a strong value buy in the premium EV space.

    12

    Infiniti QX60

    Priced From $51,590

    Engine

    Turbocharged 2.0-liter Inline-4

    Power

    268 hp

    Torque

    286 lb-ft

    0-60 mph

    7.5 seconds (estimate)

Infiniti is currently in a state of transition, which has left it with only two new vehicles on sale today: the QX60 and QX80, although a QX65 coupe-like SUV is due to join the lineup for the 2027 model year. The QX60 is a midsize SUV, making it the largest model on this list, and it even includes a third row for added practicality. The current version represents the second generation of the nameplate, introduced as a new model for 2022 and given a mild facelift for 2026. While its performance isn’t likely to excite most drivers, with front-wheel drive being standard, it comes fairly well-equipped, including features such as a powered tailgate, panoramic moonroof, and 20-inch wheels.

    11

    Land Rover Discovery Sport

    Priced From $49,900

    Engine

    Turbocharged 2.0-liter Inline-4

    Power

    246 hp

    Torque

    269 lb-ft

    0-60 mph

    7.5 seconds (estimate)

The Land Rover Discovery Sport serves as the brand’s entry point together with the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, though the two are positioned slightly differently in the lineup. Both offer a blend of premium comfort and light off-road ability, but the Discovery Sport is the more practical and value-focused choice. While its styling has changed very little from the original 2016 model, a major update arrived for 2020, bringing a new platform shared with the latest Evoque. It delivers a refined, relaxed driving experience, available third-row seating, and a well-equipped cabin, though some of the in-car technology is starting to feel dated compared to rivals.

    10

    Genesis G70

    Priced From $43,450

    Engine

    Turbocharged 2.5-liter Inline-4

    Power

    300 hp

    Torque

    311 lb-ft

    0-60 mph

    5.8 seconds

The Genesis G70 continues to punch above its weight in the compact luxury sports sedan class, delivering a blend of performance and refinement that feels more expensive than it is. While it isn’t a huge seller – what luxury sedan is? – it still offers serious value. Even the base model brings rear-wheel-drive dynamics, a Brembo brake package, 19-inch wheels, and plenty of comfort features like heated mirrors, power-heated front seats, and a full suite of driver-assist tech. If you can stretch to the $53,600 price tag, the upgrade to the available 365-hp twin-turbo 3.3-liter V6 is well worth it.

    9

    Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class

    Priced From $41,500

    Engine

    Turbocharged 2.0-liter Inline-4

    Power

    221 hp

    Torque

    258 lb-ft

    0-60 mph

    6.1 seconds

The Mercedes-Benz A-Class sedan has until recently served as Mercedes’ entry-level model in the US, but that title is currently held by the GLA 250 trim of the related Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class, a compact SUV that is really more like a high-riding hatchback than a traditional SUV. It feels more premium than its entry-level positioning suggests, with a well-finished cabin, strong materials, and a generally upscale ambiance. However, compared to many of the vehicles on this list, the GLA’s list of standard equipment is relatively short. Buyers willing to wait should note that a new generation with hybrid and electric power is being developed and is expected to arrive for the 2027 model year.

    8

    Volvo EX30

    Priced From $40,345

    Engine

    Single-motor electric

    Power

    268 hp

    Torque

    253 lb-ft

    0-60 mph

    5.1 seconds

The Volvo EX30 electric subcompact SUV had a troubled launch in the US due to tariffs, as it was originally built in China only, but the start of production in Europe helped get around this issue. It’s a brisk little SUV that seats five and feels lively around town while still delivering up to 261 miles of range. It also comes well-equipped as standard, including 19-inch wheels, a panoramic glass roof, one-pedal drive, and a wide suite of electronic driver-assist features, giving it a surprisingly premium feel for its size.

    7

    Audi A3

    Priced From $40,100

    Engine

    Turbocharged 2.0-liter Inline-4

    Power

    201 hp

    Torque

    221 lb-ft

    0-60 mph

    6 seconds

The Audi A3 shares its underlying platform with the Volkswagen Golf, but that similarity is well hidden thanks to Audi’s distinct styling inside and out, along with chassis tuning that gives it a more polished, premium feel. It delivers a competent, comfortable ride, but performance is fairly mild and can leave you wanting more urgency. Space is also a weak point, particularly in the rear seats, where legroom is noticeably tight compared to some rivals.
