When it comes to a truck like the 1500 TRX SRT, Ram can set the price almost anywhere it wants. That goes double when the truck has taken two model years off and inflation is as high as it is. But Ram is barely raising the price of its 777-horsepower supertruck at all. And for those who’ve been waiting patiently (or impatiently) to get it, now is the time.
New TRX Eats Through the Six-Figure Mark

The 2027 Ram 1500 TRX SRT starts from $99,995, which readers will note is not a six-figure sum. However, that figure does not include Ram’s mandatory (and substantial) $2,795 destination fee. It’s no secret that such fees are skyrocketing these days, and Ram is among the highest out there right now. When all is said and done, the least expensive TRX will ding your bank account to the tune of $102,790. Options, obviously, will add even more.

It’s not cheap by any means, but it’s also not much different than before. The 2024 Ram 1500 TRX, the last year for the previous truck, started at $96,430 before a $1,995 destination. A bump of $4,365 over a facelift and two years of absolute craziness in the auto industry is a veritable bargain in today’s market. Hey, it’s only $60 for every additional horsepower over the last one.

The TRX is a luxury truck as much as a performance truck. It comes with goodies like 12-way heated, ventilated, and massage seats with heat, recline, and ventilation for the rears. Ram says the 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system has more speakers than any of its competitors, and it also has more drive modes than Ford’s F-150 Raptor, should you need to find some incredibly esoteric things to brag about.
Ram is also adding its Active Drive Assist highway driving assistant as standard. That makes it and the smaller-engine RHO the “only high-performance, off-road gas pickup” trucks to come with a hands-off highway driving assistant.
Available options include a dual-pane panoramic roof along with a bed-mounted spare tire carrier and off-road running boards. The full list of options and prices aren’t available, but Ram is offering the Bloodshot Night edition with a hand-painted black upper cab, custom-painted center strip, and special graphics for $9,995.

How Ram Managed To Squeeze 777-HP Out Of The New SRT TRX’s Hellcat Engine
With a new Ram TRX on the horizon, you’ll be pleased to learn that its engine isn’t just a cut-and-paste job.
Ram order books for the TRX are open now. The 2027 model year pickups reach dealers later this summer. Odds are you’ll probably hear them when they arrive.
CarBuzz Insight – Why This Matters:

Ram’s reborn-for-2027 supercharged TRX is a beast, and with 70 horses more than last time, it should deliver an even wilder experience. Despite the upgrades, the price is barely changed, and that’s impressive.
It makes the new TRX a huge bargain versus Ford’s F-150 Raptor. If you want the Raptor R with a 5.2-liter supercharged V8 that makes 57 fewer horses and 40 lb-ft less, you’ll need to spend $113,725 with destination included. That’s a big difference, and one that would get you even more from a TRX in terms of options. Though if you want a real bargain, and don’t mind 237 fewer ponies, the Ram RHO is some $26,000 cheaper.
The big question on everyone’s mind is whether the TRX and its Hellcat engine are worth the premium over RHO. We’ll be driving the TRX at the end of June, so stay tuned.
