Nio Inc (NYSE: NIO) today officially launched the Champion Edition versions of the 2026 ET5, ET5 Touring and EC6, extending its racing-themed product line.
The Chinese EV maker said the three updated models will begin deliveries on June 20, in the order in which orders were locked in.
The Champion Edition name comes from Nio’s win of the first annual drivers’ championship in the Formula E series in 2015.
Nio said the new models draw inspiration from its championship-winning race car, incorporating racing DNA and emphasizing high performance and racing aesthetics.

In addition, customers who choose the 100 kWh battery rental plan can enjoy a buy-one-get-one-free offer on the first year’s battery rental.
The launch of the Champion Edition models continues Nio’s intensive pace of product updates over the past year.
In August 2025, Nio made the 100-kWh long-range battery pack standard across its main brand’s lineup, while lowering prices.
The move was aimed at boosting the appeal of its models and addressing market concerns about their driving range.
In April 2026, Nio launched updated versions of its “5566” lineup, including the ET5, ET5 Touring, ES6 and EC6, with starting prices unchanged.
These lower-priced models have long been the main source of sales for Nio’s main brand.
However, the third-generation ES8 large SUV has become the brand’s new sales pillar since its launch in September 2025.
Nio delivered 37,705 vehicles in May, a record monthly high for the year, up 62.3 percent year-on-year.
The company’s cumulative deliveries in the first five months of the year were 150,526 vehicles, up 68.70 percent year-on-year.
Currently, more than 1,000 show cars and test-drive cars of the updated L60 have arrived at Onvo stores.
