Your ESPN bill is about to go up, and Disney+ and Hulu bundles aren’t safe either

Another month, another streaming price hike. This time, it’s ESPN that’s taking a turn at your wallet.

Starting September 17, ESPN Select and ESPN Unlimited will both cost more (via ESPN support). The ripple effect will also reach several Disney+ and Hulu bundles, making this the first price increase since ESPN’s standalone app launched last August.

So what exactly is changing on September 17th?

ESPN Select climbs from $12.99 to $13.99 a month for a $1 increase, with the annual plan rising from $129.99 to $139.99 for a $10 bump. ESPN Unlimited follows a similar pattern. It’s going from $29.99 to $31.99 monthly and from $299.99 to $319.99 annually, meaning you’re paying $2 more each month or $20 more per year.

The three Disney-branded bundles built around ESPN Select will also cost you more. The ad-supported Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN Select plan rises from $19.99 to $21.99 a month, adding another $2 to the bill.

The ad-free version climbs from $29.99 to $32.99, one of the bigger jumps at $3 a month. Meanwhile, the legacy ad-free bundle, which isn’t open to new subscribers, moves up from $24.99 to $27.99, another $3 increase.

Why is ESPN raising prices now?

The price revision effective September 2026 marks the first price increase for ESPN Select and Unlimited plans since the network relaunched its streaming services last August. The overhaul also brought a scrollable, short-form video feed and a personalized portion of SportsCenter.

None of this is happening in a vacuum, either. Peacock raised its own prices by up to $3 a month just last week, and Apple increased the prices of Apple Music and Apple One. If your ESPN bill is about to get a little heavier, the practical move is to check exactly which bundle you’re on before September 17.

If you’re wondering, sticking with an Unlimited-based package sidesteps this entirely, though you’ll have to give up ESPN’s full network lineup.
