We’d like to meet the kind of person who looks at the ultra-limited Bugatti W16 Mistral and thinks there’s room for improvement, but that’s exactly who Kourosh Mansory is. The founder of the company that bears his last name took to Instagram to tease his latest project, which will debut in Monterey later this week during the region’s massive celebration of cars and motorsports.
Mansory’s signature blend of revised bodywork and bold colors is on full display, even in the teasers, and we’re very curious to see what the tuners have cooked up this time.
Hypercar Style, To The Extreme

Based on the headlight design and the open roof, both of which are clearly visible in the Instagram Reel, we’re almost positive the new Mansory is based on the W16 Mistral, which is limited to just 99 pre-sold units. The tuner version may have come from someone who’d already bought the car new, or it could be Kourosh Mansory’s personal car. Whatever the case may be, the 2026 debut will revise the gorgeous design a bit to suit the company’s signature bold cosmetics.
The most obvious sign of that, based on the limited peek we get in the teaser, is the towering rear wing on the decklid, which replaces the seamlessly designed active spoiler on the production Mistral. The side skirts and front fascia also seem to get some sharply styled extensions, with orange pinstripes tracing each line – as they would on any good Mansory product.
There aren’t any signs in the teaser of performance upgrades, but we’re sure the company has something up its sleeve. The aerodynamic changes are likely functional, giving the car more downforce, and we suspect there will be some suspension changes to take advantage of that. As for added power, Mansory’s previous Bugatti takes didn’t produce any additional grunt compared to their production counterparts.
What’s Coming This Week?

The Mansory W16 Mistral will make its full debut on the Monterey Peninsula on Wednesday, August 12, and we hope to sneak a peek at it live. Monterey Car Week will also include the public debut of Bugatti’s own one-off Destrier, the third Programme Solitaire entry that subs the track car’s hardcore aero for sleek and gorgeous bodywork.
Other debuts expected this week are a new Spyker model, as well as a celebratory, Miura-inspired Revuelto. There’ll be a new Eccentrica restomod supercar, potentially based on the Diablo Roadster, and we think Cadillac might even cook up a range-topping hypercar to give the Ferraris and the Koenigseggs of the world something to worry about.
CarBuzz Insight – Why This Matters

The debut of a Bugatti-based Mansory is a rare event, and the company is probably going to pull out all the stops with something as rare as a tuned Mistral. We’re looking forward to seeing it in person – Mansory isn’t always known for the most tasteful designs, but this newest tuned Bugatti will certainly be eye-catching, and that’s half the battle in the exclusive, high-dollar supercar game. We’ll bring you more as we learn (and see) more.
