Leapmotor (HKEX: 9863) on Tuesday officially launched its updated C10, C11 and C16 models, with the three flagship SUVs (sport utility vehicles) starting as low as 125,800 yuan ($18,620).
The Chinese electric vehicle maker, backed by Stellantis NV (NYSE: STLA), is seeking to consolidate its market position through the product refresh, while battling rising costs at the same time.
The three updated models emphasize ultra-long range and fast charging, and are each available in both battery electric vehicle (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) versions.
The updated C10 comes in four variants, priced from 125,800 yuan to 142,800 yuan. That starting price is slightly higher than its predecessor’s 122,800 yuan.
The updated C11 offers five variants, priced from 143,800 yuan to 159,800 yuan. That starting price is lower than its predecessor’s 149,800 yuan.
The updated C16 comes in eight variants, priced from 145,800 yuan to 169,800 yuan, with a starting price below its predecessor’s 151,800 yuan.
The C16 offers both five-seat and six-seat layouts, with the six-seat version costing 3,000 yuan higher. The C10 and C11 are both 5-seat models.
The three SUVs are the cornerstone of Leapmotor’s sales. From January to May this year, their combined deliveries reached 103,973 units, accounting for 39.52% of the company’s total deliveries over the same period, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
In terms of powertrain, the BEV versions of the updated C-series all upgrade to an 800-volt high-voltage platform, with maximum motor power raised to 230 kW. Their pure-electric range reaches up to 660 km.
The EREV versions offer up to 300 km of pure-electric range and support 3C fast charging. The maximum motor power of the EREV variants has been raised to 200 kW.
Taking the updated C10 as an example, the CLTC range of its BEV version has been increased to 660 km from the previous 530 km. Its 0-100 km/h acceleration has also been improved to 6.02 seconds.
The EREV version of the updated C10 has a combined range exceeding 1,300 km. The vehicle supports ultra-fast charging from 30% to 80% within 16 minutes.
All three new models offer options equipped with a high-precision LiDAR and a Qualcomm 8650 smart driving chip. They support point-to-point navigation-assisted driving.
In the cabin, the new vehicles are powered by a Qualcomm 8295P chip and feature a 17.3-inch central control screen and a 60-inch AR-HUD head-up display system.
The body length of the updated C10 and C16 has each been increased by 10 mm. The updated C11 retains its frameless door design and is equipped with high-performance front four-piston calipers.
The new vehicles are fitted with an AI-powered smart battery management system and adopt LMC tire-blowout stability control. Leapmotor said its batteries will not catch fire or explode within 48 hours after thermal runaway.
Leapmotor has maintained strong growth momentum recently. In May, the company’s deliveries reached a record 81,569 units, up about 81% year-on-year.

In the first five months of this year, Leapmotor’s cumulative deliveries exceeded 260,000 units. The company has set an ambitious target of delivering one million vehicles for the full year of 2026.
This comprehensive update of the core C-series models is seen as a key move to support that goal.
As the flagship of the C-series, the design of the updated C16 moves closer to the brand’s higher-end D19 SUV model. This helps boost its competitiveness in the family SUV market priced between 150,000 and 200,000 yuan.
Products from the second brand are expected to debut as early as the end of this year, a Leapmotor executive said.
