    • Aito rolled out 2 entry-level EV variants of the M6 SUV, with a starting price of 229,800 yuan ($34,010).
    • The new models lower the entry threshold by 50,000 yuan from before, featuring an 81-kWh Giant Whale battery platform.

Huawei’s HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance) business announced on Tuesday that two new battery electric vehicle (BEV) variants of the Aito M6 have gone on sale, with starting prices ranging from 229,800 yuan ($34,010) to 249,800 yuan.

The new variants further lower the entry threshold for this mid to large-size SUV (sport utility vehicle). The previous starting price for the BEV versions on sale was 279,800 yuan.

Customers who place orders can enjoy purchase benefits worth up to 56,000 yuan, along with a one-month free trial of Huawei’s ADS Pro Plus advanced feature package.

The BEV Max version is priced at 229,800 yuan, equipped with in-cabin LiDAR, and drops the air suspension.

This version is fitted with Huawei’s ADS Pro Plus smart driving system, supporting features such as urban navigation assistance and all-scenario parking.

The BEV Max+ version is priced at 249,800 yuan, equipped with an 896-channel image-grade LiDAR, and retains the air suspension. This version supports the next-generation ADS assisted driving system and is positioned at a higher tier.

Both new models are built on the 81-kWh Giant Whale battery platform, with a rear-mounted single motor delivering a maximum power of 227 kW (304 hp).

The BEV Max version has a CLTC range of 602 km, while the Max+ version offers 630 km.

The overall design of the new models remains consistent with the versions on sale, with body dimensions of 4,960/1,985/1,736 mm in length, width, and height, and a wheelbase of 2,950 mm.

The Aito brand was jointly built by Huawei and Seres (HKEX: 9927), and it is the first and best-selling brand under HIMA.

The Aito M6 officially went on sale on April 22, positioned as a mid to large-size SUV. In May alone, retail sales of the Aito M6 reached 18,148 units, making it one of HIMA’s sales pillars.

HIMA delivered a total of 46,122 vehicles in May, marking its second consecutive month of sequential growth, with a month-on-month increase of 40.79 percent, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.

From January to May this year, the alliance delivered about 192,000 units in total, up 26.5% year-on-year.
