Elgin Industries has promoted longtime executive Chris Anderson to president and chief operating officer.
The company said Anderson, who joined Elgin in 2000, will take on expanded leadership responsibilities while continuing to oversee day‑to‑day operations. He most recently served as chief operating officer and executive vice‑president, and previously led international distribution efforts through Elgin World Trade.
Bill Skok will remain chief executive officer, maintaining overall strategic leadership and continuity for the 107‑year‑old, family‑owned business founded by his grandfather, Martin Skok Sr.
Anderson’s new role will include driving operational performance and advancing growth initiatives across Elgin’s product portfolio, which spans valvetrain components, steering and suspension parts, and precision‑machined components for automotive, heavy‑duty and industrial markets.
“Chris is a proven leader with a deep understanding of our business and the industries we serve,” Skok said. “His long career with Elgin reflects not only his commitment to the company but also his deep connection to our people, our customers, and our values.”
Skok said Anderson’s experience in manufacturing leadership, process optimization and team development positions the company to navigate a more dynamic and competitive market environment.
As CEO, Skok will focus on long‑term strategy, partnerships and overall corporate direction, while supporting Anderson and the executive team in executing the company’s growth plans.
Anderson said he intends to build on the company’s legacy while continuing to invest in innovation and customer relationships.
