Competitive pricing helped the Tai 7 quickly become Fang Cheng Bao’s best-selling model after its launch.
Fang Cheng Bao launched the Tai 7 EV flash charging version on April 29, adding a fully electric option to the lineup. The battery electric SUV has a starting price of 199,800 yuan ($29,500).
The Tai 7 EV flash charging version is available in 2 rear-wheel-drive variants offering ranges of 675 kilometers and 755 kilometers.
It is equipped with BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery and latest flash charging technology, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 70% in 5 minutes.
Buyers of the 755-kilometer rear-wheel-drive version can pay an additional 30,000 yuan for an optional package combining the God’s Eye B assisted-driving system with an all-wheel-drive powertrain.
The general manager of the Fang Cheng Bao sales division Xiong Tianbo previously said the Tai 7 EV flash charging version would enter large-scale deliveries in July.
Deliveries of the EV variant are expected to more than double in July to exceed 10,000 units, She said earlier this month.
Fang Cheng Bao is a personalized new energy vehicle (NEV) brand launched by BYD in June 2023, focusing on rugged off-road vehicles and urban mobility.
The brand is positioned between BYD’s mass-market Dynasty and Ocean lineup and its ultra-luxury Yangwang brand.
Fang Cheng Bao sold 35,607 vehicles in June, up 88.4% year-on-year, making it one of the fastest-growing brands within the BYD group.
