Purchasing an ultra-luxury car like a Bentley or Rolls-Royce is meant to be a very special experience. Part of the sky-high prices is exclusivity and luxury at the showroom, not just on the road, but it’s only been in recent years that the automakers have truly embraced that. Nearly three-quarters of Bentley customers now order their car with at least some bespoke elements, and that’s changing how the company’s Mulliner division operates. Which explains why the company just announced a list of the new bespoke things it can do for 2026.
It reads like a menu of things we’ll never be able to afford, but also showcases yet again how Bentley is still operating at a level above the likes of Mercedes-Maybach.
Taking Two-Tone Paint To The Next Level

Last year at The Quail, Mulliner introduced its new Ombré finishes. Each of the three combinations takes 56 hours of paintwork, and now there are five more options, each available with interior veneers to match:
- Alpine Green into Verdant
- Cricketball into Black Velvet
- Pale Brodgar into Brodgar
- Portofino into Marlin
- Grey Violet into Damson
The highlight of the new year? How about two new welcome lamp animations! Ok, those aren’t the highlights, and Bentley’s customization arm, Mulliner, didn’t even describe what they were. But not only can you pick from those two new ones, you can “of course” create your own welcome lighting signature. Whatever you want, if the LED lighting elements can handle the demands.

Over and above these options, Continental GT S, Supersports, and Speed models can get a new racing stripe. It’s a central stripe with two contrasting thin stripes, and you can pick any two colors you want.

Mulliner will laser-etch anything you want on the dashboard. That option applies to every open-pore wood veneer option and the high-gloss finishes, but Mulliner will now also etch your satin finish carbon fiber. You can’t get the stone veneer etched, at least not yet, but you can pick a new metal console finish called Wave.

The problem with letting customers design whatever they want is that, well, they’ll design whatever they want. Mulliner doesn’t come out and say it, but it’s obvious that sometimes it wants to rein in those buyers, so say hello to its curated specifications. The suggestions for colors and finishes that work together, and give the customer and salesperson a starting point.

That said, we’re willing to bet that if you showed up asking for the most unhinged combinations of colors, finishes, and stripes possible, Mulliner would probably do it. Just look at the bright pink Bentley x Joe & The Juice Bentayga, with its bright pink paint and an espresso machine in the back.
Bentley offers three grades of Mulliner, including Curated, Bespoke, and Coachbuilt. The first one is the mildest, and opens up some extra paint choices, leather colors, and accessories like champagne coolers. Coachbuilt is the creation of full cars, limited runs like the Batur or the Speed Six Continuation where the checkbook is the only limit.
