The Genesis GV80 went into production in 2020 for the 2021 model year, positioned as a mid-size luxury SUV, aiming to compete with European models on price and provide an alternative to similar Lexus and Toyota models. Genesis crossed 100,000 total sales for the SUV halfway through 2025 and set a new annual sales record at 25,444 GV80s sold, so it’s fair to say the nameplate has succeeded. GICON‘s pilot turbine in Schipkau, eastern Germany, stands 365 meters (1,197 feet) tall, including its blades. That makes it Germany’s second-tallest structure, behind Berlin’s TV tower. Its rotor hub sits 300 meters (984 feet) above the ground. Winds at higher altitudes are stronger and more consistent, giving the turbine more opportunities to generate electricity. Automotive Mercedes-Benz is doing some serious housekeeping for the 2027 model year, dropping three notable vehicles as it continues to rethink a lineup that has become increasingly complex in recent years. The Mercedes-Benz EQE Sedan, Mercedes-AMG S63 E Performance, and Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV are all being discontinued for 2027.
