At some points during the pandemic, it was easier to buy a Ford F-150 than it was to buy a roll of toilet paper– and for quite a while, pickup truck prices were just the craziest. Suddenly, folks were second-guessing public transit, trading older cars in for newer ones to help eliminate uncertainty in their lives, and (importantly) looking to spend more time outside and away from one another. The pandemic poured gas on an already-hot adventure-vehicle market that was expanding to include the first hybrid-powered Toyota Tundra, the first electric-powered F-150, and heavy-duty models that were churning out more…
Purchasing an ultra-luxury car like a Bentley or Rolls-Royce is meant to be a very special experience. Part of the sky-high prices is exclusivity and luxury at the showroom, not just on the road, but it’s only been in recent years that the automakers have truly embraced that. Nearly three-quarters of Bentley customers now order their car with at least some bespoke elements, and that’s changing how the company’s Mulliner division operates. Which explains why the company just announced a list of the new bespoke things it can do for 2026. It reads like a menu of things we’ll never…
I like noise-canceling earbuds because the outside world has a way of barging in without permission. A few blocks to the gym shouldn’t require hearing every motorcycle, car horn, or construction drill the city can throw at me. The problem shows up on the walk back, usually when I stop to buy something. Suddenly, I’m at the checkout counter holding my earbuds like tiny expensive pebbles, trying not to be rude, trying not to drop them, and somehow making the whole thing look more dramatic than it needs to be. Then one slips, and I’m bent over looking for inconspicuous…
General Motors hasn’t fielded a true rival to the Jeep Wrangler since the Chevrolet K5 Blazer and GMC Jimmy rode off into the sunset back in the 1990s. Ford found itself in the same position for years, right up until the modern Ford Bronco arrived earlier this decade. The gamble paid off as the Bronco has proven to be a huge hit, with Ford moving a record 146,007 units in the US in 2025 alone – and the Wrangler is an even bigger hitter. Millennials rank Amazon as the most relevant product and service brand, and that position is shaping how the company approaches the automotive aftermarket, according to new research from Lang Marketing. “Amazon has secured a special place in the minds of Millennials, who rank it as the most relevant product/service brand in the U.S. For Millennials, the significance of Amazon overshadows tech giants like Apple and Google, as well as product/service companies such as Sony, Starbucks, and Nike, to name only a few,” it said in a recent report. Millennials will form the biggest adult consumer purchasing group over the next…

Couldn’t it have just been beautiful? The Ferrari Luce is having a Jaguar moment online following its unveiling last week. The markets have spoken. Luca di Montezemolo has spoken. But nobody has quite spoken as much as assorted users of various social media disgraces. And the feedback there is not good. I don’t love the outside of the Luce, but I do think it’s a shame that some of its technical innovations haven’t been getting a hearing. What a half-million-pound Ferrari does while it’s cornering is of rather limited interest in isolation, of course, but if the Luce is engaging,…
Catalina Cove The Rivian R2 Performance’s final EPA ratings are now published, and the numbers confirm something impressive: the R2 Performance matches the Tesla Model Y Performance on efficiency at 105 MPGe combined and 32 kWh per 100 miles — while actually beating it on range with 330 miles versus 306. What makes this particularly noteworthy is the R2’s form factor. The Rivian is a boxier, taller, more utilitarian SUV that weighs nearly 800 lbs more than the Model Y, yet it achieves identical efficiency. The numbers The fueleconomy.gov data breaks down as follows for the R2 Performance with 21-inch…
Chrome Holding Co., the company formerly known as 23andMe, is facing a lawsuit filed by California Attorney General Rob Bonta over a massive security breach in 2023 that compromised millions of people’s sensitive data.
