Developed using lessons learned from Toyota’s participation in Japan’s Super Taikyu racing series, the GRMN Corolla was engineered with demanding circuits like Germany’s Nürburgring in mind. The visual changes immediately separate the GRMN from the standard GR Corolla. Weight reduction played a role as well, with the rear seats removed entirely, trimming approximately 66 pounds from the hatchback. The approach mirrors the strategy used for the Morizo Edition and reinforces the GRMN’s focus on performance above practicality.
Inside, the cabin receives several exclusive touches that emphasize its special status. GRMN sport seats upholstered in black and red suede-like materials provide added support during spirited driving, while embroidered logos, carbon-fiber trim, and brushed metal accents create a more purposeful atmosphere. Although Toyota has yet to announce pricing or production numbers, expectations are that the GRMN Corolla will be a limited-production model when it reaches North America, Australia, and Japan.
