    • Xpeng delivered 103,295 vehicles in the second quarter, within its earlier guidance range of 100,000 to 106,000 units.
    • The delivery rebound came largely from the ramp-up of the GX, its new premium flagship SUV.

Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV) will report unaudited second-quarter 2026 financial results before the US market opens on Monday, August 24, the company said on Tuesday.

Management will hold an earnings conference call at 8:00 am US Eastern Time on August 24, or 8:00 pm Beijing/Hong Kong time the same day.

The call requires pre-registration, with a live webcast and archive available on Xpeng’s investor relations website. A replay will be accessible until September 1.

The report is the first full window for the market to gauge the strength of Xpeng’s sales recovery this year.

The company delivered 103,295 vehicles in the second quarter, within its guidance range of 100,000 to 106,000 units.

That was up 64.8% from 62,682 in the first quarter, though up just 0.11% from a year earlier.

Xpeng had guided for second-quarter revenue of 19.60 billion yuan ($2.89 billion) to 20.80 billion yuan, implying year-on-year growth of about 7.25% to 13.82%.

Profitability will be the key focus. The company posted a net loss of 1.78 billion yuan in the first quarter, ending the 380 million yuan profit it recorded in the fourth quarter of 2025, its first quarterly profit.

Still, its first-quarter gross margin rose to 20.6% from 15.6% a year earlier, while vehicle margin improved to 12.1%.

The sharp rebound in second-quarter deliveries came largely from the ramp-up of the GX, its new premium flagship SUV (sport utility vehicle). The model delivered 6,739 units in June alone.

Momentum has slowed entering the third quarter. Xpeng delivered 38,027 vehicles in July, up 3.57% year-on-year but down 5.23% from June.

Limited supply of the Mona L03, its new lower-priced SUV model, was the main constraint. Deliveries of the car began on July 22, and the company said large-scale deliveries would accelerate from August.

In the first seven months of the year, Xpeng delivered 204,004 vehicles, down 12.78% year-on-year.

Its next major product is the G9L, a large five-seat SUV that Xpeng began teasing this week. Pricing and launch timing have yet to be announced.

Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng has said the company aims to achieve mass production of robotaxis and humanoid robots this year. Analysts may press for updates on that progress and spending on the call.

Deutsche Bank expects Mona L03 monthly deliveries to reach about 15,000 units in 2026, followed by full-year volume of around 150,000 in 2027.
