Toyota’s TRD Pro lineup is getting a sweeter look for 2027 with a new yellow-inspired color theme that replaces last year’s bright turquoise Wave Maker finish. The 2027 Tacoma, Tundra, and Sequoia TRD Pro models will be offered in a new color called Honeycomb, while the 4Runner TRD Pro gets its own closely related shade called Hot Honey. The difference between the two appears subtle, but either way, Toyota is giving its off-road family another high-visibility signature color.

The annual TRD Pro color has become part of the fun for Toyota’s off-road lineup. These trucks and SUVs already stand out with blacked-out trim, rugged grilles, red tow hooks, upgraded suspensions, larger tires, and more aggressive stances, but the exclusive paint color gives each model year its own identity. Recent shades such as Mudbath and Wave Maker leaned in very different directions, and Honeycomb brings a warmer, bolder look that should pop especially well against the black trim used across the TRD Pro models.

For 2027, Toyota has already detailed updates for the Tundra and Sequoia, while Tacoma and 4Runner information is expected to arrive later. The full-size models do not appear to receive major TRD Pro mechanical changes, but both benefit from broader lineup updates, including a standard 14-inch touchscreen across trims. Toyota is also expanding off-road capability lower in the lineup with new Trailhunter packages for the Tundra and Sequoia, giving buyers another adventure-focused option beneath the more hardcore TRD Pro badge.

The Honeycomb and Hot Honey colors may not change how these trucks perform, but they do help keep Toyota’s TRD Pro lineup feeling fresh and collectible. Many buyers follow these annual colors closely, and some shades age into enthusiast favorites once production moves on. Whether this new yellow look becomes a must-have or a love-it-or-leave-it choice will depend on personal taste, but it fits the TRD Pro personality well: loud, capable, outdoorsy, and not afraid to stand out on the trail or in a parking lot.
