The Hyundai IONIQ 5 and Toyota bZ are on sale for Labor Day to clear inventory for the incoming 2027 models.

Best EV Deals for Labor Day 2026

Labor Day is on Monday, and automakers are preparing as usual with a slew of incentives and discounts to make room for the new 2027 model-year vehicles.

We’ll take a look at some of the best deals on the most popular 2026 EV models. In the first half of the year, over 463,000 electric vehicles were sold in the US.

The Tesla Y and Model 3 still dominate the market, holding the top two spots by a wide margin. The Hyundai IONIQ 5 ranked third after sales rose 8% in the first half of the year.

After the $7,500 tax credit expired at the end of September, Hyundai responded by cutting prices on the 2026 IONIQ 5 by up to $9,800 on some trims. Starting at $35,000, the IONIQ 5 is among the most affordable EVs in the US.

For Labor Day, Hyundai is offering up to $5,500 off 2026 IONIQ 5 models, or 0% APR financing for up to 60 days plus 0 payments for 90 days.

On Hyundai’s website, 2026 IONIQ 5 leases start at $309 per month. The deal is for a 24-month lease with $3,999 due at signing. However, that’s for the SE Standard Range trim.

You may be better off upgrading to the SE RWD trim, which costs just $10 more per month at $319. The IONIQ 5 SE RWD offers an EPA-estimated driving range of up to 318 miles on a single charge, while the Standard Range version has a range of just 245 miles.

Toyota’s electric SUV, the bZ, also starts at about $35,000. After launching the updated 2026 bZ (previously the bZ4X), the electric SUV quickly became a top seller, ranking fourth in the first half of 2026.

The new Toyota bZ offers a longer driving range with up to 314 miles, improved charging with a built-in NACS port, and an updated interior.

Toyota is offering 2026 bZ leases, starting at $439 a month for 36 months with $4,970 down, or 1.9% APR financing for 72 months.

Like the IONIQ 5, if you’re looking for more range, it may be worth upgrading to the XLE Plus, which is available for $459 a month for 36 months with $3,999 due at signing. The XLE Plus offers up to 314 miles of range, compared to 236 miles for the standard version.

How do these compare to Tesla? The Tesla Model 3 RWD is available with leases starting at $419 per month. That’s for a 36-month lease with $4,114 due at signing. The Model 3 RWD has an EPA-estimated range of up to 321 miles.

Tesla is promoting Model Y RWD leases starting at $499 per month. That’s also a 436-month lease with $4,195 due at signing. The RWD version has up to 321 miles of range.

Looking for something a little bigger? Hyundai’s three-row electric SUV is on sale for Labor Day with up to $10,000 in savings or 0% financing for 72 months, plus an extra $3,000 off.

The 2026 Hyundai IONIQ 9 can be leased for just $369 per month for 36 months with $3,999 due at signing. That’s even cheaper than the Kia EV9 right now.

Hyundai’s EV Labor Day deals end on September 8, while Toyota’s run until the end of the month on September 30.

With the 2027 models now available, the best deals are on the outgoing versions. Interested in seeing what’s available? You can use the links below to see local offers and find available models near you.
