Exterior highlights for the new GT3 S/C include the front fenders with airflow cut-outs from the ultra-exclusive 911 S/T, fashioned from carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP).

Other components borrowed from the 911 S/T include the hood and doors, also made from CFRP, and the staggered 20- and 21-inch magnesium center-locking wheels, helping offset the weight of the GT3 S/C’s convertible roof and reduce total curb weight to just 3,322 lbs.

Even the front lighting has been consolidated into a single Matrix Design LED headlight unit, freeing up the space below, where the DRLs have historically been placed, and allowing Porsche to sculpt larger air intakes for maximum cooling.

Power is derived from a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six that revs to 9,000 rpm and develops 502 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque. This is rear-mounted, per 911 tradition, and housed beneath a model-specific engine cover with the S/C badge, which stands for Sport Cabriolet.

All 502 hp is directed solely to the rear wheels. While other GT3 variants have the option of a PDK automatic gearbox, the 911 GT3 S/C is only available with Porsche’s slick six-speed manual. Zero to 60 mph is delivered in 3.7 seconds with top speeds of 194 mph possible.

Making the 911 GT3 S/C’s mechanical setup even more special, this is the first convertible 911 in history to utilize a double wishbone front suspension, maximizing downforce through the wishbones’ aerodynamic profile and sticky tire compound.

Unlike lesser Porsche 911 variants, and specific configurations of the regular GT3, the 2027 Porsche GT3 S/C interior only has two seats, with the rear pair removed and replaced with a parcel shelf and an available storage box accessory.
