GM is kicking off 2026 with a very Corvette way to nod at America’s 250th birthday, and it involves a new Stars & Steel Collection that will span Corvettes and Chevy trucks. The big tease right now is that just 250 Corvettes will be part of the program, with ordering and pricing details still under wraps. To keep the hype rolling, Chevrolet revealed the first look at a truly singular centerpiece, a one-off 2026 Corvette ZR1X wearing Stars & Steel livery that is headed straight to the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction block.
What makes this ZR1X a legitimate one-of-one is the finish and the spec. Instead of the two production color themes planned for the Stars & Steel Corvettes, this charity car wears a special matte look called Dark Satin Steel, paired with the Santorini Blue interior. It also shows up with the Carbon Fiber Aero Package, visible carbon fiber wheels, and blue brake calipers, basically checking all the right boxes for anyone who likes their supercar details loud without being flashy. And it’s not just a showpiece either, because Chevrolet has already positioned the ZR1X as the quickest American production car thanks to validated straight-line numbers that are downright wild.
Inside, the special touches get even more personal. A dedicated plaque under the center-mounted speaker marks it as “1 of 1,” incorporates a stylized American flag and “250,” and carries the words “Honor. Valor. Sacrifice.” Best of all, the winning bidder is not just buying a headline-worthy Corvette, because 100% of the hammer price is set to go directly to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, supporting programs that provide mortgage-free homes for Gold Star and fallen first responder families, build specially adapted homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders, and work to combat veteran homelessness. The car is slated to cross the block at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale on Saturday, January 24, 2026, with GM’s Scott Bell expected to introduce it during the live broadcast.
