The Onvo L60 was first launched in September 2024 as the first model from the Nio sub-brand, primarily competing with Tesla’s (NASDAQ: TSLA) similarly sized Model Y.
The new milestone follows the launch of the updated L60, which was rolled out on June 11 and began nationwide deliveries the next day.
The updated L60 starts at 192,800 yuan for full-vehicle purchase, 6.8% lower than its predecessor.
The new model comes in three versions — Pro, Max+ and Ultra+ — priced at 192,800 yuan, 202,800 yuan and 222,800 yuan respectively for full-vehicle purchase.
Under the BaaS (battery as a service) battery rental scheme, the starting prices of the three versions drop to 135,800 yuan, 145,800 yuan and 165,800 yuan respectively.
The biggest highlight of the updated L60 is that it is the first to feature Nio’s in-house developed 5-nanometer automotive-grade smart driving chip, the Shenji NX9031.
The chip is used in the Max+ and Ultra+ versions and, combined with the Nio World Model (NWM) architecture, supports point-to-point navigation-assisted driving.
The entry-level Pro version continues to use a vision-only solution, equipped with Nvidia’s Orin-X chip with 254 TOPS of computing power.
The Onvo brand delivered 12,029 vehicles in May, up 91.51% year-on-year and 124.76% higher than in April.

The performance was mainly driven by the intensive launches of new models including the L80 and the 2026 L90 SUVs.
Nio Inc as a whole delivered 37,705 vehicles in May, setting its highest monthly record so far this year.
Deutsche Bank expects Onvo L80 monthly sales to reach around 10,000 units in the short term before stabilizing at about 4,000 units.
