The coupe SUV is an example of a concept that is totally illogical and sholdn’t work but still sells like hotcakes. Like Ugg boots, which have all the bulkiness of normal boots but offer none of the weatherproofing that makes them work as boots, coupe SUVs have the same size and fuel efficiency penalties of a normal SUV but none of the practicality benefits and lose all the style a traditional coupe would have had in the process. And yet, the Mercedes GLE and GLC coupe models have enjoyed great success, as have their performance versions, including the GLE 63 Coupe.
