    • Leapmotor’s July global deliveries reached 101,267 units, up 102% year-on-year and 8.45% from June.
    • Deliveries in the first seven months totaled 457,754 units, about 46% of the full-year target of 1 million.

Leapmotor (HKEX: 9863) delivered 101,267 vehicles globally in July, breaking through the 100,000-unit mark for the first time in a single month, up 102.01% year-on-year.

It was the fourth consecutive month that the company set a delivery record, and the fifth straight month of sequential growth, rising 8.45% from the 93,376 units delivered in June.

In the first seven months of the year, the Stellantis NV (NYSE: STLA)-backed automaker delivered 457,754 vehicles, up 68.42% year-on-year.

Since delivering its first vehicle in 2020, its cumulative deliveries have reached 1,653,857 units, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.

Still, the pace remains behind target. Leapmotor has set a delivery goal of 1 million vehicles for 2026, and is currently at about 45.8% of that figure.

That means the company needs to deliver 542,246 vehicles over the remaining five months, or about 108,449 per month, still above its July level.

Leapmotor senior vice president Xu Jun said on July 16 that the company would not adjust its full-year target for now, and would work through products, marketing and channels to get as close to the goal as possible.

To narrow the gap, Leapmotor is accelerating its product updates. The company in June launched the refreshed C10, C11 and C16, and rolled out its first MPV (multi-purpose vehicle), the D99.

On July 16, Leapmotor launched the refreshed B01 sedan and B10 SUV (sport utility vehicle), starting at 95,800 yuan ($14,110) and 99,800 yuan respectively, with long-range versions adopting an 800-volt fast-charging platform.

On July 27, the company opened pre-orders for the A05 compact EV. It is the second model on the A platform after the A10, and will compete head-on with the BYD Dolphin and Geely Xingyuan.

Management has previously said new models, including the A10, would account for 60% of total sales in 2026.

Overseas markets are another source of growth. Leapmotor set a target at the start of the year for overseas sales to make up 20% to 35% of the total, and the share was close to 30% in the first half.

On July 31, the company said it formally entered Indonesia, carrying out local KD (Knocked Down) assembly through PT National Assemblers, a unit of the Indomobil group. The first vehicles are expected to be delivered from August.

Together with its Malaysian plant, Leapmotor now has dual KD production bases in Southeast Asia. The company’s business currently covers more than 40 countries, with over 2,000 sales outlets.

An executive said Leapmotor will make efforts across multiple areas in the second half to get as close as possible to its sales target.
