BYD (HKEX: 1211) has launched its Fang Cheng Bao brand’s Tai 7 in Uzbekistan under the name BYD Ti 7, expanding its lineup in the Central Asian market.
The Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) giant announced on Thursday that the BYD Ti 7 officially went on sale on the opening night of the third electric mobility carnival, held in Tashkent from October 1 to 4.
The flagship 5-seat, all-wheel-drive variant is priced at 513,500,000 Uzbek som, equivalent to about 292,000 yuan ($43,340), according to a conversion provided by BYD.
In China, the Tai 7’s sole all-wheel-drive hybrid variant starts at 225,800 yuan ($33,520).
Equipped with DM-p hybrid technology, the BYD Ti 7 is positioned as an urban SUV for daily commuting, family travel and outdoor adventures, with an emphasis on space, all-wheel-drive capability and comfort.
The launch brings the Tai 7 lineup to an overseas market where BYD has established local production, extending the model’s expansion since its debut in China last year.
The Tai 7 was first launched in China in September 2025, initially offered only as a plug-in hybrid, and quickly became Fang Cheng Bao’s best-selling model.
In April this year, Fang Cheng Bao added an all-electric Flash Charging Edition to the lineup, followed by a DM long-range version in August, broadening its powertrain and range options.
Tai 7 sales totaled 32,144 units in September, up 5.14% from August and marking the seventh consecutive month of sequential growth, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.

BYD also showcased other products from its sub-brands at the carnival. Denza brought the B5 and B8 and offered a 43-degree ramp-climbing experience, while the Yangwang U9 made its first in-person appearance in Uzbekistan.
The Denza B5 is the overseas counterpart of the Fang Cheng Bao Bao 5 sold in China, while the B8 corresponds to the Fang Cheng Bao Bao 8.
Denza officially entered Uzbekistan in June this year, and the event gave the brand another opportunity to showcase its vehicles to local consumers.
BYD made its brand debut in Uzbekistan in March 2023, initially introducing models including the Han EV, Song Plus DM-i and Chazor DM-i.
Its plant with local automaker Uzavtosanoat JSC (UzAuto) began production in January 2024, with the first mass-produced vehicles rolling off the line in June that year.
Under plans announced at the time, the plant in Jizzakh was expected to have an annual production capacity of 50,000 vehicles in its first phase, producing the Song Plus DM-i and Chazor DM-i plug-in hybrids.
Cao Shuang, BYD’s general manager for Central Asia and the Caucasus, said at the event that the company would continue to deepen its localization strategy in Uzbekistan, working with local partners to strengthen its industrial operations and service network.
The Formula S series starts at 189,900 yuan ($28,080), marking Fang Cheng Bao’s entry into the sedan market.
