KYB announced that longtime Canadian automotive aftermarket executive Ray Proulx will retire at the end of this month.

He has spent 21 years with the company, serving as its Canadian senior business development manager for Canada, helping build the brand’s national footprint.

“Throughout his career, Ray played a pivotal role in building and growing the KYB brand across Canada,” the company said in an announcement posted to LinkedIn.

“His dedication and leadership helped establish a strong footprint with major accounts and laid the foundation for the success we continue to build on today.”

The announcement noted that Proulx reflected that working with a Japanese organization and understanding its culture was a rewarding and defining part of his career. He also noted that helping build the KYB brand from the ground up was a rare experience in the industry.

When he steps away from his role on Jan. 31, Proulx said he plans to spend more time with family, travel with his wife and make room for more time on the hockey rink and golf course. He expects to stay connected to the aftermarket through special projects.

“Thank you, Ray, for your commitment, leadership, and the lasting impact you have made on KYB and our partners. We wish you a happy, healthy, and fulfilling retirement,” the company said.
