Today Amazon started running some great discounts on tools (hand and power), full mechanic sets, and specialty tools along with special sale pricing on car accessories like OBD scanners and dashcams ahead of Prime Big Deal Days (aka Amazon Big Deal Days). Most of the flagship mass-appeal sales will be happening on October 6, but the car-stuff category niche has live discounts now.

- DeWalt 20V MAX 6Ah battery 2-pack: $179 (was $279). Two big batteries for less than many retailers charge for one. If you’re already running yellow tools, this is the deal to grab.
- Craftsman 308-piece mechanics set: $199 (was $319). This matches last October’s Prime Big Deal Days price, so it’s not a new low. It is a strong price for a full set in a case you can actually close.
- Wera 8100 SB 29-pc 3/8″ metric ratchet set: $142 (52% off). Wera is a premium brand that rarely gets discounts this deep. This is the set you buy once and keep.
- Klein Tools 8-pc SAE ratcheting wrench set: $44.98 (was $79.98). Ratcheting wrenches save real time in tight engine bays, and Klein makes good ones. This price makes them easy to justify.
- Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 power station: $899.99 (was $1,499). Enough capacity to run a fridge on an overlanding trip or keep the lights on through a storm outage. It’s an expensive item, but $600 off is a big cut.
