We have no complaints regarding the cabin of the entry-level Lexus LS 460 produced from 2007 to 2017. It’s a cushy, comfortable, refined, and smooth-riding car.

But if you’ll settle for nothing less than the best version of this car, you’re looking for a Lexus LS 460 with the Executive Seating package, which transforms the luxury car into a limo fit for visiting dignitaries. Here’s what makes it such a gem.

The LS 460 Executive Package Turns The Rear Seat Into A Business-Class Throne

Rather than wax poetic, let’s just list the features in the LS 460 Executive Seating package, and let the upgrades speak for themselves.

    • Power reclining rear seats
    • Rear seat massage function
    • Heated and ventilated rear seats
    • Double (front and back) dual-zone climate control, for four zones total
    • Rear seat control panel for audio and climate control
    • Rear right VIP seat with power ottoman
    • Rear cooler box
    • Rear seat entertainment system with DVD player and fold-down screen
    • Premium wood, chrome, and leather trim
    • Mark Levinson premium surround sound
    • Electronic sunshade controls
    • Fold-out table-top
    • Lexus-branded headphones

Almost any seat in this car offers first-class luxury, but the rear passenger-side is the VIP seat, featuring a pop-out ottoman footrest.

The electronic controls mounted between the rear seats let you manage everything from your headrests to your massager to your rear and side sunshades from a single hub with a few dozen buttons.

Most people compare this car to a business-class (or even first class) airplane seat, but it has just as much in common with those floating luxury recliners from Wall-E. Be careful sitting down, because you might never want to get up.

The only seat that kinda sucks is the front passenger seat. It’s cushy enough and decked out in high-end leather, but you’re sacrificing a lot of legroom for the high-roller sitting behind you, and the rear passengers can actually operate your seat from a set of switches mounted on the side. Not a good place to be if you have a rude passenger in the back, or your kids think it’s funny to keep adjusting your seat.

The Executive Seating Package Was Available As A Special Order Model

You won’t find the Executive Seating package listed as a trim in our own reviews for the fourth-gen LS models. The Executive Seating package was like something you ordered off the secret menu, not unlike a mustard-grilled burger at In-N-Out. These cars are rare, not because they were limited-edition, but because they were made to order.

A user onClub Lexus reports, after buying a 2013 model, that the dealer told them there were only two Executive Seating package models ever shipped to the US. There are definitely more than two, but they’re still pretty scarce.

Pricing on a Lexus LS 460 with the Executive Seating package would vary depending on model year and any additional options. The 2013 example cited on Club Lexus came with a build sheet with a purchase price of $108,290. Adjusting for inflation, this would have you paying around $157,000 in 2026 dollars.

The owner reports that the car was only offered to Lexus executives, but this sounds like the seller spinning a yarn. Why would Lexus build the ultimate passenger car and only sell it at an employee discount? Another buyer in the same thread reports he owned a 2015 model with the same package.

“Special order” means just that. If you’re willing to pay for it, you can get the dealer to build just about anything you want, as long as the automaker actually has the parts on hand. The car’s scarcity was likely not manufactured by Lexus nor any kind of mandated exclusivity, but by the price, and the niche appeal of a car that’s more fun for the VIP passenger than it is for the driver.

A Lexus LS 460 Is An Awesome Starting Point For A Luxury Limo

The Lexus LS 460 is already an excellent car for anyone who wants to impress the big client. Standard features in a 2013 model include 10-way heated leather power seats, dual-zone air conditioning, keyless entry, and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen. The floor is covered in thick carpet, and you’ll find genuine wood veneers all over the cabin.

The base engine in a 2013 LS is a 4.6-liter V8 paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission for smooth acceleration. The car sits on multi-link suspension with 5.1 inches of ground clearance, and offers unmatched ride comfort for its time.

The 2013 model produced 386 horsepower in rear-wheel-drive configuration, or 360 hp in all-wheel drive. Many Executive Seating package models will likely be all-wheel drive and long-wheelbase, because why skimp when you’re already spending an extra $20,000 for the ultimate in backseat comfort?

What Will The Ultimate Lexus Limo Cost You In 2026?

The Lexus LS 460 with the Executive Seating package occupies that standoffish space where supply is limited, but so is demand. We searched all our favorite used car sites, and we could only find a single listing, on Tyacke Motors, a Utah-based dealership that has a 2007 model listed for $34,999 with 75,000 miles on the odometer.

With under 100,000 miles on the odometer, we would say that this sounds about right. Our own price tracking tool sees 2008 models trending in the $10,000 range, but considering the scarcity of this car, the condition of this model, and the low mileage, the dealer could just about name their price, making $35,000 a fair ask. It’s not that bad if you want to a business class experience on a cattle class budget.

There’s no telling if this model will still be available by the time you read this (or if you feel like driving to Utah to pick it up), but it’s still active as of mid-July 2026.

Why Limo Ownership History Actually Works In Your Favor

We’ll never advise skipping the test drive. You need to know what you’re buying. But a Lexus LS 460 with the Executive Seating package is practically guaranteed to arrive in excellent condition. For one, it’s a Lexus. Not only is it a Lexus, it’s a Lexus that’s been used exclusively for leisurely drives, keeping the pace nice and easy, so nobody spills their champagne in the back seat.

Additionally, limos tend to come from good homes. It won’t do to skip basic maintenance until the car breaks down and leaves your client sweating in the back seat while the driver tries to thumb a ride into town. If you can find one of these cars for sale, you can bet that it was owned by a limo service or a CEO who wanted to impress their colleagues with a first-class ride from the airport. You don’t buy a six-figure limo to redline it and do burnouts.

RepairPalestimates that a Lexus LS 460 should cost you around $767 a year in maintenance. Everything that makes the Executive Seating package model special is in the cabin, so you can safely assume that estimate applies to this version of the car.

The Executive Seating PackageProves Lexus Could Rival Rolls-Royce At Half The Price

    Black 2013 Lexus LS460 frontLexus

As for who’s shopping for one of these cars in 2026: it’s hard to impress clients with a 19-year-old Lexus, and, as cushy as this model was in its day, it can’t help but feel dated all these years later. Everything cool about this car is aimed at passengers, rather than drivers, so it’s not exactly an enthusiast’s car.

More than anything, this is a car for collectors and Lexus superfans. It’s reliable enough to make your daily driver for years to come, and comfortable enough that you’ll want to spend every lunch break in your car. But the car’s scarcity and unique configuration are what really make it special, and we like that it proves a Lexus can be every bit as decadent as a Rolls-Royce sedan or a Bentley SUV.
