- The 2026 Avatr 06 starts at 205,900 yuan ($30,620) after incentives and comes with larger batteries.
- The battery electric version offers a CLTC range of 650 km, while the extended-range version can travel up to 1,190 km.
Avatr launched the 2026 Avatr 06 sedan on Thursday, narrowing the lineup to 2 variants and making Huawei’s latest Qiankun ADS 5 driver assistance system standard across the range.
The EV brand, backed by Changan Automobile (SZSE: 000625), CATL (HKEX: 3750) and Huawei, priced the updated model competitively, with the Max extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) version starting at 219,900 yuan ($32,700) and the Max battery electric vehicle (BEV) at 229,900 yuan.
A limited-time cash incentive of 14,000 yuan brings their respective prices down to 205,900 yuan ($30,620) and 215,900 yuan.
The pricing strategy comes alongside a smaller Avatr 06 lineup. When the sedan launched on April 19, 2025, it offered 5 variants priced from 209,900 yuan to 279,900 yuan, with the entry-level version featuring Huawei’s ADS SE system without LiDAR.
The 2026 lineup drops the entry-level and dual-motor all-wheel-drive variants, retaining only the 2 Max versions. The starting price rises by 10,000 yuan before incentives, though the discounted price is below its predecessor’s starting price.
Customers who place orders between October 15 and October 31 can receive limited-time benefits worth up to 58,000 yuan, Avatr said.
In addition to the cash incentive, the package includes a free upgrade to zero-gravity seats for the driver and front passenger valued at 20,000 yuan, a voucher covering the full 21,000-yuan cost of the ADS Max advanced feature package, discounts of up to 3,000 yuan on exterior colors, and a lifetime warranty on the battery, drive motor and electronic control system for the original owner.
The 2026 Avatr 06 measures 4,855 mm in length, 1,960 mm in width and 1,467 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,940 mm. It retains its predecessor’s dimensions and 5-seat layout.
The Max EREV features a 1.5-liter range extender and a single rear motor with a peak output of 231 kW, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds.
It uses a 32.3-kWh CATL lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, providing a CLTC battery-only range of 230 km and a combined range of 1,190 km.
The Max BEV is built on an 800-volt silicon carbide platform and features a single rear motor with a peak output of 252 kW. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds and uses a 75.46-kWh CATL Shenxing supercharging battery, delivering a CLTC range of 650 km.
Both versions have larger batteries than their predecessors, which had capacities of 31.7 kWh and 72.88 kWh, respectively. The BEV version can charge from 30% to 80% in less than 10 minutes and from 0 to 80% in less than 17 minutes.
Driver assistance is a key focus of the update. The sedan features Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 5, based on the WEWA 2.0 architecture, along with upgraded 4D millimeter-wave radar. Features include navigation to individual charging spaces and roaming cruise assist (RCA).
The sedan also features Huawei’s Qiankun CAS 5.0 omnidirectional collision avoidance system. Revised interior emergency mechanical door releases and semi-concealed exterior door handles provide backup ways for occupants to escape and rescuers to gain access.
The cabin features a 35.4-inch 4K panoramic display, a 15.6-inch central touchscreen and 2 6.7-inch rearview displays, along with Nappa leather seats and a Meridian sound system. The front doors are power-operated.
The Avatr 06 is the brand’s second sedan after the Avatr 12 and its third model to offer both BEV and EREV versions.
The Avatr T09 features a 71.24-kWh battery pack, offering an electric range of 300-330 km.
