The biggest car news and reviews, no BS Our free daily newsletter sends the stories that really matter directly to you, every weekday. While Big Gretch’s “Fix the damn roads!” mandate has brought an upswing in road road construction projects all over Michigan, anybody who regularly commutes (that’s a thing, believe it or not) from one of the state’s two peninsulas to the other will tell you that maintenance on the Mackinac Bridge has been a thing for much longer than that. And now there’s an upside—you know, besides that whole upkeep-makes-the-bridge-not-fall thing. Bor-ing. In this case, repairs to the…

Automotive Cadillac has already confirmed a next generation CT5, even as today’s CT4 and CT5 sunset after the 2026 model year. Now a fresh report hints the story will not end with one sedan. Citing unnamed sources, GM Authority says General Motors is developing multiple models on a new Alpha 2-2 platform that will sit beneath the new CT5 and at least one more U.S. market passenger car. If accurate, that points to another rear wheel drive based entry joining the lineup. The Lansing Grand River plant, home to CT4 and CT5 today, would benefit from the added…

Tesla has refreshed the Semi truck’s design to match the look of the revised Model Y, the Cybertruck and the Cybercab. Tesla says the truck is now more efficient, it can tow more and is “designed for autonomy.” The Tesla Semi has to be the only vehicle that we know of that received a mid-lifecycle facelift without technically being in production—only a handful have been built so far. However, that’s exactly what happened as Tesla quietly unveiled an updated Semi yesterday, which…

Sports cars are wonderful creations, and some of the very best hail from Britain. Not so much any more, though, as Japan seems to have taken on the task of keeping lightweight, nimble sports cars in production for the 21st century. SEMA week is here. Some of the greatest (and some of the jankiest) builds in the automotive universe all gather in Las Vegas for one big aftermarket showdown. The cast of usual suspects are all on the show floor, with the Ringbrothers being one of the most prolific builders in attendance. Each year, Mike and Jim Ring bring something good to SEMA—for 2025, it’s the “Kingpin” 1969 Mustang Mach 1. In usual Ringbrothers fashion, this Mustang is completely redone from the ground up. It makes 800 horsepower from a Whipple-supercharged Wegner Motorsports 5.0-liter Coyote engine, and it sends power to…
