Half of North American businesses lost more than one month of operational time due to supply chain disruptions over the past year, while nearly 40 per cent faced disruption-related costs of $1 million or more, according to a new global report from DP World. The report, The World Without Logistics: Global Report, examines how growing disruption, including port congestion, border delays, extreme weather and geopolitical tension, is reshaping trade strategies across the Americas. It finds companies are moving more quickly to diversify supply chains, invest in resilient infrastructure and integrate logistics operations closer to end markets. “Supply chain disruption is…
Automotive Singer is back at it, and this time the roof is gone. The California outfit’s latest project takes the 964-generation Porsche 911 Cabriolet and reimagines it into something that looks familiar at a glance but feels like a full reset once you start digging into the details. Convertibles have always been a big part of the 911 story, but anyone who has driven an older open-top car hard knows the tradeoffs. Singer’s whole mission here is to deliver that classic 911 Cabriolet vibe without the wobble, the creaks, or the sense that you are asking too much…
ChargePoint says that demand for its charging services grew by 34% in 2025. The company says that EV infrastructure is not keeping up with the growing number of EVs on roads. Plug-in hybrid models account for 16% of ChargePoint’s level 2 AC charging events. The EV world may be somewhat in turmoil, but it finally feels like at least some aspects of EV ownership are starting to work themselves out. For example, charging infrastructure has been somewhat of a bright spot in a dark EV world; reliability is up, access is expanding and new EV drivers are finally understanding how…
Airbnb plans to double down on artificial intelligence to improve its user experience for both guests and hosts. During a fourth-quarter earnings call, Airbnb’s CEO, Brian Chesky, said the company is building an “AI-native experience” aimed at helping guests book trips, assisting hosts with their listings, and running the company more efficiently. According to Chesky, there’s an AI search tool to help guests book trips that’s live for a small percentage of users right now.In a shareholder letter posted on Airbnb’s website, the company said it’s conducting early testing with an AI-powered search that is “focused on giving guests a…
Estimated reading time: 6 minutes A car history check can say a lot about a car, especially if it’s a few years old. There’s a story behind every single one, and they are never same. It could have been faultless or it could’ve been a curse, it’s hard to know. Car history is what helps up to find these things out and make sure that whatever we decide to buy, we know that it’s safe, legal, and it’s going to be worth the money without being blindsided. Types of Car History Before we go into why a car’s history is…
The battle for supremacy between America’s two biggest car firms has been going on since 1910 – two years after Henry Ford began production of his game-changing Model T – when William C Durant, head of the newly formed General Motors, tried to buy Ford Motor Company. He was turned down, and by 1921 Ford had triple the market share of GM. But GM sales overtook those of Ford just a few years later, and it’s been push and pull ever since. In the US, their key battleground is pick-ups, where Ford’s F-150 has led the way since 1982. But…
This polar bear is an apex predator, but there’s a whole lot that happens before you make it to this part of the arctic food web. OlhaPonomar / Shutterstock The arctic food web explains how energy moves through one of the coldest ecosystems on Earth. From microscopic algae trapped in sea ice to apex predators like polar bears, every organism depends on another for food. This interconnected system shows why changes in ice, ocean temperature, and climate matter so much in the polar regions. Unlike a simple food chain, a food web shows how Arctic animals rely on multiple food…

The motorcycle market has evolved a lot over the years. But some trends have remained the same. For instance, big bikes weighing more, features adding weight, and more horsepower costing more money. However, with innovations in the manufacturing processes and cheaper materials, we get to see a handful of motorcycles break these trends. This is exactly the case with the most powerful bike under $5,000. While all of its rivals struggle to breach the 30-HP mark with their single-cylinder engines, the bike in context surprisingly gets you a two-cylinder engine with over 40 ponies. At the same time, it comes…
It’s easy to understand why something like a BMW 6 Series might appeal. There comes a time when the kids have grown up and flown the nest, or perhaps you don’t feel the need for a four-door sedan such as the BMW 5 Series anymore. While you could opt to go down the sports car route if you’re not bothered about space, unlike BMW’s ‘6,’ they can be pretty harsh on the road due to their performance-focused suspension setups and relative lack of refinement.
