The 2027 model year will be an odd one for the Nissan Rogue, because the model year will apply to two generations of the small SUV. The 2027 Rogue Hybrids will be the next-generation version of the SUV, and they’ll be arriving by the end of the year. The non-hybrid versions, though, will still be the outgoing generation, since Nissan is still preparing the purely combustion versions of the redesigned one.
Perhaps not surprisingly, Nissan hasn’t changed much of anything to the combustion-powered 2027 Rogue, and the price difference reflects that.

A Little More Money For A Little Nicer Transmission
Nissan only changed one main thing for these non-hybrid 2027 Rogues, and that’s the transmission tuning. The company claims that it has been retuned to provide more “linear acceleration” and a “crisper throttle response.” We’ve actually been rather satisfied with the CVT in the Rogue so far, but we’ll certainly welcome any improvements that Nissan can come up with. Of course, we can’t say for sure whether the transmission has been noticeably improved without taking a spin.
The other change is pricing. Every version of the combustion 2027 Rogue is $200 more expensive than it was last year. It’s not a huge price jump, but it’s also not insignificant. It’s also a small enough price increase that the Rogue is able to boast an MSRP below $30,000. The base S trim starts at $29,690, and the $1,575 destination charge brings the total to $31,265. This pricing also gives the Rogue a lower base price than the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4, and roughly on par with Mazda CX-5, CX-50, and Hyundai Tucson. Full pricing is shown below.

The base Rogue comes standard with a turbocharged variable-compression 1.5-liter three-cylinder making 201 horsepower and 225 pound-feet of torque. It’s also paired with a CVT and front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is a $1,400 option on the S, SV, and Dark Armor trims, and it’s standard on the Rock Creek and Platinum trims. The S trim is fairly sparsely equipped, so we would recommend opting for the SV at least, as it adds a power-adjustable driver seat, 6-speaker sound system, adaptive cruise control, dual-zone automatic climate control, remote start, and lane-keep assist, all for just $1,000 over the base trim.
How Much Is The Hybrid?
The all-new Rogue Hybrid does come with a price premium, but it also offers a few other perks. The hybrid is more powerful with 225 hp. It’s also more efficient, delivering combined fuel economy of 38 mpg combined compared to 28 to 30 mpg for the non-hybrid. Plus, it comes standard with all-wheel drive. This is all on top of getting new styling and interior features, such as larger instrument and infotainment displays.

The base price for the hybrid Rogue will eventually be $35,490, or $37,065 with destination. However, those base models won’t be available until early next year. The first examples hitting dealers at the end of 2026 will be SR trim models with the Technology Package, which will come in at $43,065 with the destination charge. The base SV, SR without options, and top-level Platinum, will be available next year, and you can find their starting prices below.

CarBuzz Insight – Why This Matters:
Even though the 2027 model year will be a bit strange for the Rogue, it could be a good one for it. The outgoing Rogue is still priced competitively, and it’s a solid SUV, even though it’s a little bit on the older side. We’ve also had a bit of seat time with the new hybrid, and it shows significant promise, and it’s also competitively priced. The Rogue has already had a great 2026 with sales up by 24.1% through the first half of the year.
The addition of the hybrid and keeping prices solid should mean that the Rogue’s future is quite bright.
