- Onvo announced that the launch event for the new L60 will begin at 7:30 pm Beijing Time on June 11, saying the model brings a total of 106 upgrades.
- The updated L60 opened for pre-sales on May 29, featuring Nio’s in-house developed Shenji NX9031 smart driving chip for the first time.
Onvo, a sub-brand of Nio Inc (NYSE: NIO), will hold a launch event for the updated L60 SUV (sport utility vehicle) at 7:30 pm Beijing Time on June 11, when the new vehicle’s prices will be announced.
In a teaser on Wednesday, Onvo said the update to the mid-size SUV brings a total of 106 upgrades, aiming to deliver a comprehensive high-quality experience.
The updated L60 opened for pre-sales on May 29 at the 2026 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Auto Show (Shenzhen Auto Show). William Li, founder, chairman, and CEO of Nio, announced at the time that the new vehicle would officially launch on June 11 with deliveries beginning the same day.
To attract early buyers, Onvo rolled out a pre-sales incentive policy. Consumers who pay a 1,000 yuan ($148) deposit can deduct 3,000 yuan from the purchase price.
Onvo’s stores in China had earlier opened static viewing activities for the model and made it available for test drives on June 6, in preparation for launch and deliveries.
Onvo has not announced pre-sales prices for the new L60. Nio’s management recently said the cost of the updated L60 has risen significantly compared with its predecessor.
The Onvo L60 was initially launched in September 2024 as the first model of the Nio sub-brand, with the similarly sized Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) Model Y as its main competitor.
The L60’s last major update was on September 19, 2025, with a starting price of 206,900 yuan including the 60-kWh standard-range battery pack, unchanged from its predecessor.
Under the BaaS (battery as a service) plan, its starting price was 149,900 yuan, with battery rental fees starting at 599 yuan per month.
The upcoming revamped L60 is available with a new-generation 85-kWh ternary lithium battery pack, offering a maximum CLTC range of 740 kilometers and energy consumption as low as 11.9 kWh per 100 kilometers, Onvo said late last month.
The updated L60 introduces Nio’s in-house developed 5-nanometer automotive-grade smart driving chip, the Shenji NX9031, for the first time, and adds a version equipped with LiDAR sensors.
These hardware upgrades will work with the latest version of the Nio World Model (NWM), expected to deliver an industry-leading intelligent assisted driving experience, and add a campus navigation feature.
In terms of vehicle architecture, the new L60 runs on Nio’s SkyOS vehicle operating system and adopts a 900-volt high-voltage architecture to improve the vehicle’s energy efficiency and responsiveness.
The Onvo brand delivered 12,029 vehicles in May, up 91.51% year-on-year and surging 124.76% from April, mainly driven by the intensive launches and deliveries of new models.

Among them, the Onvo L80, a large five-seat SUV, saw 5,949 units delivered within just 15 days of its May 15 launch. Together with the 2026 L90, it helped push Onvo’s monthly deliveries past the 10,000 mark.
Nio Inc delivered a total of 37,705 vehicles in May, its highest monthly figure so far this year. The company expects total deliveries in the second quarter to be between 110,000 and 115,000 vehicles.
