    • Leapmotor launched extended-range versions of the B10 and C10 in Argentina, with an initial network of 12 sales outlets.
    • The company is leveraging Stellantis’ dealership and after-sales network to accelerate its expansion in South America.

Leapmotor (HKEX: 9863) has officially entered the Argentine market, launching extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) versions of its B10 and C10 SUV (sport utility vehicle) models as its initial lineup.

The Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker, backed by Stellantis NV (NYSE: STLA), said in a statement on Tuesday that the move further deepens its presence in South America.

Leapmotor has initially established 12 sales outlets and 20 after-sales service locations in Argentina, covering major cities.

The retail network builds on Stellantis’ existing dealerships, supplemented by dedicated Leapmotor spaces offering test drives and localized auto-financing options.

In addition to e-Expert electrification services offered at the 20 dedicated after-sales locations, owners will have access to basic maintenance and roadside assistance through more than 300 Stellantis-branded service outlets across Argentina.

Parts supply will be supported by Mopar, Stellantis’ parts brand, which will use a large local warehouse to enable rapid distribution.

The decision to lead with EREV models reflects constraints in Argentina’s charging infrastructure. Leapmotor said the technology can ease range anxiety and reduce drivers’ dependence on charging availability.

Argentina is Leapmotor’s third market in South America. The company entered Brazil and Chile in November 2025, when it said Argentina, Colombia and Ecuador would be among its next expansion markets.

In July, Leapmotor entered Mexico with the B10, marking its first move into the North American market. On July 31, it also announced its entry into Indonesia, where it plans localized KD (knocked down) assembly through the Indomobil Group.

Leapmotor’s overseas expansion is being driven by Leapmotor International, a joint venture formed after Stellantis invested in Leapmotor in 2023. The venture is responsible for exports and sales outside China.

Leapmotor now operates in more than 40 countries and regions worldwide, with more than 2,000 sales and service outlets.

Exports are an important source of its growth. Leapmotor exported 17,569 vehicles in July, up 281.52% year-on-year but down 16.34% from June. Exports in the first 7 months totaled 113,863 vehicles, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
