    • The GWM H10 offers 5-seat and 6-seat configurations, with a CLTC electric range of up to 232 km.
    • All variants come standard with LiDAR and the Coffee Pilot 3 assisted-driving system.

GWM (HKEX: 2333) opened pre-sales in China on Saturday for the H10, a new SUV (sport utility vehicle) under its Haval brand, with limited-time promotional prices starting at 214,800 yuan ($31,710).

The large boxy plug-in hybrid SUV targets the family-use and light off-road markets and is available in 4 variants.

Pre-sales prices range from 219,800 yuan to 239,800 yuan, while limited-time promotional prices range from 214,800 yuan to 234,800 yuan.

The GWM H10 is the first boxy model built on the automaker’s Global One platform and made its debut last month. It adopts what the company calls a “Fangding Aesthetics” design language, inspired by the square ritual vessels of ancient China.

Unlike rivals that use traditional body-on-frame construction, the GWM H10 has a unibody structure designed to balance urban driving comfort with the travel needs of larger families.

The model is available in 5-seat and 6-seat configurations. The 5-seat version measures 5,138 millimeters in length, 2,050 millimeters in width and 1,970 millimeters in height, while the 6-seat version extends the length to 5,299 millimeters. Both have a wheelbase of 3,000 millimeters.

The GWM H10 is powered by the second-generation performance version of the Hi4 hybrid system, which combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with front and rear electric motors and a dedicated 4-speed hybrid transmission.

The system delivers a combined output of 440 kilowatts, or 590 horsepower, and peak torque of 722 Nm, enabling the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 4.9 seconds.

The model is equipped with a 42.8-kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, providing a CLTC electric range of up to 232 kilometers and a combined range of as much as 1,404 kilometers.

It supports fast charging and can add 126 kilometers of range in 15 minutes.

All GWM H10 variants come standard with the Coffee Pilot 3 advanced assisted-driving system and LiDAR, with a total of 27 driving-assistance sensors installed across the vehicle.

The system supports highway and urban NOA assisted driving and offers a memory-parking function covering routes of up to 3 kilometers. It can store as many as 100 parking-route profiles.

    The vehicle features a 15.6-inch central touchscreen, a 29-inch SR-HUD head-up display and a 17.3-inch ceiling-mounted entertainment screen for rear passengers.

The 5-seat version has 815 liters of cargo capacity, which can expand to 1,885 liters when the second-row seats are folded. The 6-seat version offers 316 liters under normal conditions and 1,056 liters with the third row folded.

The Global One platform has previously supported GWM’s push into higher-end segments. The Wey V9X, the flagship model of GWM’s premium Wey brand, was the first production vehicle based on the Global One S platform.

The Wey V9X was launched on May 18 with a starting price of 349,800 yuan.

With the H10, GWM is seeking to fill a gap in the market for spacious, boxy plug-in hybrid SUVs at this price point, offering a vehicle designed for urban commuting, long-distance family travel and light off-road use.

GWM’s global sales fell 2.36% year-on-year to 108,080 units in June, with overseas markets contributing 56%.
