Roush Performance is well known for taking Ford Mustangs and F-150s and dialing them up to extremes. But Roush is branching out, and in addition to the partnership with Nissan on the Frontier Pro-4X R by Roush, the famed American tuner is eyeing opportunities with other American automakers that don’t have a blue oval for a badge. And the next automaker it’s partnered up with might upset a few Ford fans.
Roush has crossed sides in the Detroit pickup truck war, and has just released a new teaser for a Ram 1500 package that could rival not only the F-150 Raptor, but the Ram 1500 RHO and TRX directly.
The Roush x Ram Truck Arrives Next Week

We knew this truck was coming following a shadowy teaser in June shared on both Ram and Roush’s social media channels. But that shadowy silhouette did nothing more than confirm this was an official partnership and that it would arrive this summer. But a second teaser has now been released, a video giving us our first real look at the Roush x Ram truck, and one that gives us a reveal date: 13 July 2026.
The teaser may be brief, but it clues us in on a few details, specifically what type of truck the Roush Ram will be. Roush has developed everything from street trucks to off-roaders and muscle cars for Ford, so nothing is off-limits. But for the forthcoming Ram, we can now see this will be an off-road focused machine.
Off-Road, All-Terrain, And V8 Power?
Roush x Ram silhouette teaserRoush Performance
It’s been shown driving at some pace on a sandy beach, drifting through the sand and kicking up dirt with high-profile all-terrain tires and side steps, suggesting we may also have a bit of a lift kit in play. Black wheels, black over-the-top stripes, red front tow hooks, and red paint tell us what to expect visually, and in one brief view, we see hood vents. Do those suggest more power? Possibly, but we don’t know what engine we’re even working with — or do we?
It may be brief, but right at the start of the video, the truck fires up, and that’s the unmistakeable sound of a Hemi V8. Beyond that, we know very little. Is it the 5.7, or maybe the supercharged 6.4? We can only guess, but fortunately, we don’t have to wait too long to find out.
CarBuzz Insight — Why This Matters
Ford’s had a few performance partners in the past, most notably Shelby and Roush. But things are changing for the Blue Oval, who is developing performance models like the Dark Horse, Dark Horse SC, and GTD under the Ford Racing moniker rather than with external branding. The only external tuner involved with Ford is RTR, a recent development in partnership with professional drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. So, with Ford changing up how it’s doing things, it’s opened up the door for Ram to strike back.
For Ram, this partnership shows its commitment to performance trucks. Not only does it have the RHO, TRX SRT, and the new Rumble Bee series of street trucks, but it will now have Ram-backed tuner packages, giving performance truck lovers the power of choice.
