Geely Auto’s (HKEX: 0175) Galaxy brand has unveiled the Galaxy TT, a new model primarily targeting young consumers.
The Galaxy TT, positioned by Geely as a C-segment AI pure electric sports sedan, made its global debut at an event in Shanghai on Monday. The vehicle is expected to officially go on sale in August.
Built on Geely’s next-generation technology, the Galaxy TT features a fastback design. Its roof is equipped with LiDAR, offering the optional G-ASD (Geely Afari Smart Driving) H7 or H5 advanced driver assistance systems.
The new vehicle is equipped with an active electric rear spoiler that supports three-stage adjustment and speed-dependent tuning. With a maximum angle of 22.5 degrees, it can generate 508 newtons of downforce.
The Galaxy TT measures 4,999 millimeters in length, 1,919 mm in width, and 1,479 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,920 mm, making it a mid-to-large-size sedan.
Utilizing an 800-volt high-voltage platform, it is available in two versions: single-motor rear-wheel drive (RWD) and dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD).
The RWD version delivers a maximum power of 245 kilowatts (329 hp), while the AWD version boasts a combined output of 425 kW.
The new model comes standard with CATL (HKEX: 3750) batteries across the lineup, offering three capacity options: 52.4 kWh, 63.8 kWh, and 75.2 kWh.
Depending on the configuration, its pure electric driving range covers four variants: 540 kilometers, 640 km, 650 km, and 725 km.
The Galaxy TT is equipped with the second-generation Flyme Auto cockpit system, which consists of an LCD instrument cluster, a large central control screen, and an AR-HUD (augmented reality head-up display), supporting triple-screen interactive operation.
The new car offers eight exterior colors and four interior themes. The cabin features up to 37 storage spaces and magnetic expansion points to meet the personalized needs of young users.
Notably, the name “TT” originated from Geely Galaxy’s global naming campaign, securing the top spot with a high number of votes.
Geely Galaxy attributes a dual meaning to the name: “Trend & Technology” and “Time Tourist.”
The unveiling of the Galaxy TT comes as the Galaxy brand returns to a growth trajectory. The brand sold 108,206 vehicles in June, surging 19.93% year-on-year and jumping 32.40% month-on-month, ending five consecutive months of year-on-year declines.
