Continental Tire Canada has appointed Frank Buntinx as managing director, giving him responsibility for the company’s tire business across passenger and light truck, commercial vehicle and specialty segments. He assumed the role on August 17.
Buntinx, who was born in Belgium, has more than 20 years of experience with Continental. He joined the company in 2003 in logistics and supply chain before moving into roles in marketing, pricing, business intelligence, fleet operations and sales. He later held leadership positions in the Benelux region, serving as head of marketing and head of fleet solutions and truck tires.
“I am truly excited to join Continental Tire Canada and begin this new chapter,” said Buntinx. “Continental has built a strong business and reputation in the Canadian market, and I look forward to working alongside our talented team to build on that success.”
Continental, founded in 1871, employs about 76,000 people in 54 countries. Its tire division operates 19 production and 16 development sites worldwide.
