AutoCanada Inc. has acquired two Colorworks Autobody collision repair facilities in Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam, B.C., while also appointing TD Securities Inc. as financial advisor for a strategic review of its collision repair business.

The newly acquired facilities add approximately 12,100 square feet of collision repair capacity and expand the company’s Metro Vancouver footprint. Both locations hold Tier 1 status with the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia and carry OEM certifications covering 10 vehicle brands, including Ford, Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan, Acura, Genesis, Volvo and Stellantis brands.

According to the company, the locations will operate as ACX Coquitlam and ACX PoCo and will be integrated into AutoCanada’s national collision platform.

“The Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam locations complement our existing footprint and create a more connected collision repair platform across Metro Vancouver,” said Samuel Cochrane, chief executive officer of AutoCanada.

AutoCanada said it has acquired nine collision centres over the past 12 months, increasing its collision repair network by more than 20 per cent. The company currently operates 40 collision centres under the ACX brand.

The company also announced it has retained TD Securities as exclusive financial advisor for the strategic review of its collision operations, first announced Sept. 29.
