The biggest car news and reviews, no BS Our free daily newsletter sends the stories that really matter directly to you, every weekday. Harbor Freight is the default choice for budget DIYers across the United States. That doesn’t mean projects involving Harbor Freight products can’t get pricey, of course. I’m not just talking about bathroom remodels, as this insane Predator 670 build from Red Beard’s Garage proves. He started with a $950 V-twin engine and went on to dump more money into it than some people spend on their LS V8 builds. To be clear, this is far from run-of-the-mill.…
A new analysis warns that Canada’s deadliest crash factors are largely human and become more dangerous when snow, ice and darkness set in. The study by Preszler Injury Lawyers, using Transport Canada’s National Collision Database, found human factors were cited in 65.9 per cent of fatal crashes, far outpacing other causes. It found that common driver errors, including following too closely, rolling through stop signs, running red lights and misjudging speed or braking distance, become far riskier in winter. Reduced grip on snow and ice lengthens stopping distances. Shorter daylight hours, glare and poor visibility also make hazards harder to…
Automotive Jeep is reaching deep into its own history for the latest entry in its Twelve 4 Twelve Wrangler series, and this one feels especially fitting. The new 2027 Jeep Wrangler Sarge is the eighth limited-edition release in the yearlong program, drawing clear inspiration from the original 1941 Willys MB while adding the modern hardware, comfort, and customization today’s Wrangler buyers expect. It is a tribute model, but not the kind that simply adds a badge and calls it a day. The exterior leans hard into Jeep’s military roots with exclusive ’41 Green accents, vintage-style 1941 hood graphics,…
Portable monitors have become the Swiss Army knives of modern tech. They travel with remote workers, expand cramped laptop screens, and occasionally double as gaming displays in hotel rooms. Most of them also follow a familiar formula: a basic Full HD panel, a foldable cover, and a price that stays comfortably under $250. Ugreen clearly looked at that formula and decided to ignore it. The company’s new AP16 portable monitor has officially landed in the U.S., bringing a feature list that feels more like a premium desktop display than something designed to slip into a backpack. The catch is that…
Stellantis has moved its next-generation battery research off the lab bench and onto public roads, inside a Dodge Charger Daytona. The automaker confirmed this week that it has integrated Factorial’s FEST semi-solid-state battery technology into a Charger Daytona development vehicle and launched a real-world road-testing program to verify performance, safety, and reliability. For Charger enthusiasts who’ve been skeptical about the EV nameplate’s performance credentials, this is the most concrete signal yet that Stellantis is engineering the platform for something beyond the current production spec. The partnership between Stellantis and Massachusetts-based Factorial isn’t new, the two companies have been collaborating on…
Elon Musk’s SpaceX IPO will probably make him the richest person to ever walk the planet. And while his mountain of horrible personal conduct could fill multiple books, one fact in particular stands out: A year ago, Musk’s actions directly led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people. He did it knowingly. And, worse — gleefully. This is not a serious person, but his abuse of the world is deadly serious. In the first months of President Donald Trump’s second term, the Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) destroyed the US Agency for International Development, whose mission was a…
Genesis might be taking on the World Endurance Championship this year with the GMR-001, but for the headline Le Mans 24 Hours race the Korean company has brought along something a little more laid back. This is the Box Buggy, a concept car that is described as the ‘ultimate golf cart’ – tying in with Genesis’ sponsorship of various golf events around the world. Looking more like something you’d find on the moon than down your local course, the Box Buggy comes with all-electric power and plenty of party moves. Yesterday, as part of Ford’s announcement of the new blacked-out Explorer ST Sinister Package, the ST team did a Facebook ask-me-anything (AMA) on the Ford Explorer ST Facebook group. So the group members proceeded to, indeed, ask them anything. But a whole bunch of them ultimately asked the same thing: Make this six an eight. An overwhelming number of people were asking when they could get an Explorer with Ford’s 5.0-liter Coyote V8. What did Ford have to say about that? Explorer Fans Are Practically Begging For A V8 2027 Ford Explorer ST Sinister PackageFord The question came up over…
