    • Arcfox launched the Beta T1 small EV with a limited-time starting price of 62,800 yuan ($9,290).
    • The model offers a maximum range of 450 km, with Arcfox previewing a 550-km version to arrive in two months.

Arcfox, the electric vehicle (EV) brand under Beijing Automotive Group (BAIC Group), officially launched the Beta T1 small EV on June 16. The car is an upgraded version of the Arcfox T1 that was launched in September 2025.

The new model comes in three variants. The limited-time subsidized prices range from 62,800 yuan ($9,290) to 78,800 yuan. Arcfox also rolled out limited-time purchase incentives worth up to 21,000 yuan.

Specifically, the 350 Pro variant carries a limited-time subsidized price of 62,800 yuan, the 450 Pro is priced at 68,800 yuan, and the 450 Max at 78,800 yuan.

Buyers can also enjoy lifetime free maintenance, a lifetime warranty on the core electrical systems, and a five-year or 120,000-kilometer warranty on the entire vehicle.

The purchase incentives also include a 1,000 yuan subsidy on the first year’s compulsory traffic insurance. The series of measures aims to attract price-sensitive consumers with lower ownership costs.

The Arcfox Beta T1 is equipped with a front-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power output of 95 kW.

Its battery pack comes in 36.4 kWh and 42.3 kWh options, corresponding to ranges of 350 kilometers and 450 kilometers.

Compared with the older model’s maximum range of 425 kilometers, the new version offers improved range.

Arcfox previewed that the Beta T1 will get a 550-kilometer range version in two months.

The new car’s front end carries over the family design language, featuring a full-width headlight setup. The body has clean side lines and adopts semi-hidden door handles.

The most noticeable change in the upgrade is concentrated at the rear, which now sports a new full-width taillight.

The model measures 4,375 mm long, 1,860 mm wide, and 1,572 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,770 mm. The body length has increased from the previous generation’s 4,337 mm.

The new car features a large floating central control screen with the built-in α-OS in-vehicle intelligent system.

It also comes with features including front-row wireless phone charging, a power tailgate, a panoramic glass roof, seat heating, and a surround-view camera system.

The new car additionally adds sentry mode and a dashcam function. Arcfox said existing T1 owners will also receive these two features through an OTA update.

Arcfox is one of China’s earliest EV startups. The brand once disclosed monthly sales in 2020, but has rarely released sales figures since 2021 amid weak performance.

Arcfox is trying to regain attention in China’s fiercely competitive market through a low-price strategy. In the segment priced below 100,000 yuan, the Beta T1 will compete with models such as BYD’s (HKEX: 1211) Dolphin.

The updated Arcfox Alpha S5 measures 4,886 mm in length and offers both BEV and EREV options.
