The Buick Envision is a compact luxury crossover that competes in one of the most crowded segments in the market: five-passenger premium SUVs in the $40,000 to $55,000 range. It carries forward GM’s E2 platform with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, a standard 30-inch ultrawide display with Google built-in, Bose audio, and a head-up display as part of its base equipment across every trim. The 2027 model is a near-carryover update, trimming the color palette from seven to six colors and making heated and auto-dimming exterior mirrors standard. It is expected to be the final model year of the current generation, with a redesigned Envision anticipated for 2028. Here is what dealers paid and what you should be targeting.

    2027 Buick Envision Invoice Prices

The 2027 Envision is available in three trims: Preferred, Sport Touring, and Avenir. All three are all-wheel drive only for the U.S. market. Prices below exclude the destination charge.

    Trim
    MSRP
    Invoice
    Gap

    Preferred AWD
    $41,300
    $39,400
    $1,900

    Sport Touring AWD
    $43,800
    $41,785
    $2,015

    Avenir AWD
    $50,700
    $48,368
    $2,332

Invoice figures sourced from AutoFinder. Some pricing sources may list different MSRPs. Always verify the current MSRP on the window sticker before making an offer.

What Is the Destination Charge on the 2027 Buick Envision?

The destination and freight charge on the 2027 Buick Envision is approximately $1,995. With destination included, the range runs from approximately $43,295 on the Preferred to approximately $52,695 on the Avenir. Confirm the exact destination charge on the vehicle’s window sticker, as it can vary.

    What Changed for 2027

The 2027 Envision is a minimal update to a mature generation. The notable changes are:

    • Heated and auto-dimming exterior side mirrors are now standard across all trims, a convenience feature previously available only as part of optional packages
    • The exterior color palette is reduced from seven to six colors. Midnight Opal Metallic is discontinued with no direct replacement. The six available colors are Brilliant Red, Ebony Twilight Metallic, Iridescent White Tricoat, Moonstone Gray Metallic, Quartz Blue Metallic, and Summit White
    • Powertrain, platform, and trim structure are unchanged from 2026

For buyers, a last-of-generation year carries both a risk and an opportunity. The risk is that the current Envision will soon be replaced by a redesigned 2028 model, which may affect resale values on 2027 units once the new generation arrives. The opportunity is that dealers are typically more motivated to move the outgoing generation as the replacement approaches, and end-of-generation models are often available with stronger incentives than early-cycle vehicles. Buyers who prefer the current design and feature set over the as-yet-unknown 2028 redesign should feel confident in the 2027; buyers who are willing to wait may find the 2028 worth considering.

    2027 Buick Envision Specs

All 2027 Envision trims use a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four producing 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, paired to a 9-speed automatic transmission driving all four wheels. Regular unleaded fuel is specified. There is no V6 option and no hybrid powertrain available on the Envision.

EPA fuel economy: 22 city, 28 highway, 25 combined mpg. The Envision’s fuel economy is competitive for a turbocharged AWD compact luxury crossover, and regular-fuel specification is a genuine ownership advantage over competitors that require premium fuel.

Towing: 1,500 lbs when properly equipped. The Envision is not a tow-focused vehicle; its 1,500-pound rating suits light-duty trailering such as a small personal watercraft or a lightweight utility trailer, but buyers who need meaningful towing capacity should look at larger platforms.

Dimensions: 182.7 inches overall length, 74.1 inches width, 64.6 inches height, 109.0-inch wheelbase, approximately 38-foot turning diameter. Curb weight runs approximately 3,940 lbs on the Preferred and Sport Touring and 4,085 lbs on the Avenir with its additional equipment.

Cargo: 25.2 cubic feet behind the rear seats, expanding to 52.7 cubic feet with the rear seats folded. The rear seats fold in a 40/60 split. The Envision’s cargo volume is competitive within the compact luxury crossover class, sitting between smaller entries like the Cadillac XT4 and the Audi Q5.

Fuel tank: 16.1 gallons, providing a combined range of approximately 400 miles between fill-ups.

Warranty: Buick covers the 2027 Envision with a 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty and a 6-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty. These are among the stronger standard warranty terms in the compact luxury segment, exceeding the BMW X3 (4yr/50k basic, 4yr/50k powertrain) on powertrain coverage and matching the Audi Q5 (4yr/50k basic) on basic warranty length. Buick also includes roadside assistance for the duration of the basic warranty period.

    What Each Trim Includes

One of the Envision’s strongest selling points is the depth of standard content across all three trims. Even the entry Preferred arrives with equipment that competitors charge a premium to access.

The Preferred ($41,300) is the entry Envision and is more richly equipped than most competing base trims. Standard content includes a 30-inch ultrawide diagonal infotainment display with Google built-in for maps, voice search, and app access, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 9-speaker Bose premium audio system, a head-up display, wireless phone charging, active noise cancellation (QuietTuning), memory presets for driver seat and mirrors, the 2027 standard heated and auto-dimming exterior mirrors, standard AWD, and Buick’s full driver assistance suite. The driver assistance suite includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, following-distance indicator, and a surround-view camera system. Getting a Bose audio system, a head-up display, and a 30-inch display as standard on a $41,300 crossover is genuinely unusual for the segment. The optional Comfort and Convenience Package adds heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a panoramic moonroof, a power liftgate, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a universal home remote, bringing most of the Avenir’s comfort hardware to the Preferred at a lower price point.

The Sport Touring ($43,800) takes the Preferred’s content and adds a sportier aesthetic package. The Sport Touring adds a leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, aluminum sport pedals, dark-finish exterior accents and badging, blacked-out exterior trim, and Sport Touring-specific styling elements throughout the interior. It does not add power or suspension hardware over the Preferred; the Sport Touring is a visual and tactile upgrade rather than a performance upgrade. At $2,500 more than the Preferred, it is the right choice for buyers who want the Envision’s full technology suite with a sportier visual character. It is the wrong choice for buyers who are prioritizing comfort and luxury features over styling, as the Avenir’s packages add substantially more in that direction. The Comfort and Convenience Package is also available on the Sport Touring, bringing the same heated and climate convenience upgrades as on the Preferred.

The Avenir ($50,700) is Buick’s top-tier designation across the lineup and the most comprehensively appointed Envision. The Avenir adds a massaging driver’s seat, 8-way power front seats with 4-way power lumbar support for both driver and passenger, a heated steering wheel, a panoramic moonroof, a hands-free programmable power liftgate with LED logo projection when the liftgate opens, dual-zone automatic climate control, an air quality indicator with automatic air recirculation, a universal home remote, and Avenir-exclusive exterior and interior styling with quilted leather seating surfaces. The Avenir is the fully loaded Envision with all comfort and convenience features standard; buyers who would otherwise spec the Comfort and Convenience Package on a Preferred or Sport Touring should compare the final price of that combination against the Avenir before deciding, as the gap often narrows considerably with options added.

Sport Touring vs. Avenir: How to Choose

The $6,900 gap between the Sport Touring at $43,800 and the Avenir at $50,700 is the most important decision in the Envision lineup. The Sport Touring delivers the full Preferred technology suite with sportier visual character. The Avenir delivers the full comfort and luxury hardware: massaging seat, panoramic moonroof, power liftgate with logo projection, dual-zone climate, heated steering wheel, and quilted leather.

For buyers who primarily value technology content and visual distinction, the Sport Touring with the Comfort and Convenience Package is the most cost-effective path to a well-equipped Envision. For buyers who primarily value comfort and premium interior materials, the Avenir is the correct choice and its standard content eliminates the need to evaluate individual packages. Most buyers in this price range who are choosing between Sport Touring and Avenir tend to land on the Avenir once they understand what the $6,900 adds in daily-use features.

    Current 2027 Buick Envision Incentives

As of late October 2026, Buick’s incentive programs for the Envision have included lease offers, APR financing, and purchase allowances. The Envision has historically been one of the more aggressively incentivized vehicles in the compact luxury segment, in part because it competes against strong brand loyalty among German and Japanese luxury buyers. Buick’s monthly programs typically include conditional allowances for military, college graduates, and first responders, which are worth asking about at the dealership and are not always prominently advertised. Check Buick’s website for the current month’s programs before signing any paperwork, as incentives are updated monthly and can change significantly between purchase appointment and delivery. Given that 2027 is expected to be the last year of this generation, buyers should watch for end-of-cycle clearance programs as 2028 approaches.

How to Negotiate the Best Price on a 2027 Buick Envision

The 2027 Envision’s invoice gaps run from $1,900 on the Preferred to $2,332 on the Avenir. These are meaningful gaps for a compact luxury crossover, giving buyers real room at every trim level. The Avenir, with a $2,332 gap, offers the most absolute room to negotiate.

Invoice is your negotiating anchor. On the Preferred at $41,300 MSRP with an invoice of $39,400, a realistic opening offer is $39,800 to $40,200 before destination and options. On the Sport Touring at $43,800, a target in the $42,000 to $42,500 range before destination is a credible starting position. On the Avenir at $50,700, opening at $48,700 to $49,200 before destination gives you room to negotiate while signaling that you have done the pricing research.

The Preferred with the Comfort and Convenience Package deserves a close look. The full Preferred with that package brings heated seats, panoramic moonroof, dual-zone climate, heated steering wheel, and power liftgate to a base that already includes Bose audio, a head-up display, and a 30-inch screen. The total sticker with that package will be lower than an Avenir’s, while delivering most of its daily-use content. Get the out-the-door price on both configurations before deciding.

End-of-generation timing works in your favor. With the 2027 expected to be the last of the current Envision generation, dealers carrying 2027 inventory as 2028 inventory arrives will have increased motivation to move units. Buyers who are flexible on color and package content can often capture stronger discounts on well-stocked trim levels as the model year matures.

Shop multiple Buick dealers by email. Buick’s dealer network is smaller than Chevrolet’s, but most metro markets have at least two to three stores. Sending the same configured trim to multiple dealers simultaneously and requesting their best out-the-door price before visiting any of them is the most reliable method for applying downward pricing pressure on a luxury vehicle. Out-the-door is the only number that matters; documentation fees and dealer add-on packages can vary widely between stores.

How the 2027 Envision Compares to the Segment

The compact luxury crossover segment is among the most competitive in the industry. The Envision’s primary competitors are the Audi Q5, BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC, Volvo XC60, Lexus NX, Acura RDX, Cadillac XT5, and Lincoln Corsair.

The Audi Q5 starts around $46,000 and requires premium fuel. The BMW X3 starts around $47,000 and also specifies premium fuel, with a shorter standard powertrain warranty. The Mercedes-Benz GLC starts around $53,000 with premium fuel required. The Volvo XC60 starts around $51,000. Against this field, the Envision Preferred at $41,300 is meaningfully less expensive than any European alternative at comparable content levels, runs on regular fuel, and offers a longer standard powertrain warranty than the German entries.

The Envision’s most direct domestic competitor is the Cadillac XT5, which starts around $45,000 and offers a more premium interior and the Cadillac badge. The Lincoln Corsair starts around $40,000 and offers a plug-in hybrid option that the Envision cannot match. The Acura RDX starts around $43,000 and has a more driver-focused character with a sportier chassis.

The Envision’s principal advantages in this field are the standard 30-inch ultrawide display and Bose audio on the entry trim, the regular-fuel engine, Buick’s 6-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty, the QuietTuning active noise cancellation, and a lower base price than European alternatives at comparable content levels. Its main competitive disadvantages are the absence of a hybrid or plug-in powertrain, its modest 1,500-pound tow rating, and brand perception that places Buick below the German, British, and Swedish luxury nameplates in aspirational value for some buyers. For buyers who prioritize content per dollar, warranty coverage, and the daily comfort of a quiet, well-equipped interior over badge status, the 2027 Envision is one of the most compelling values in the compact luxury segment.
