If you’re a Hot Wheels nerd (and if you’re reading this, the odds are better than average), you already know just how detailed the castings can be on Mattel’s miniature cars and trucks. Well, the 2026 Hot Wheels Audi 90 Quattro takes that one step further with an easter egg that only the most dedicated (or perhaps just destructive) fans will ever spot.
The latest casting of the Audi 90 Quattro from the Pop Culture/Forza collection has the legendary “mooning doll” in the rear window that Hans-Joachim Stuck put in the real 1989 GTO. Each time he’d pass an opponent, he could make the doll’s pants drop. Hence, mooning doll.
It’s basically invisible if you don’t know what to look for, but clear as day if you take apart the casting. Don’t worry; you don’t have to wreck a clean 90 Quattro just to see this for yourself. diecasttycoon already did it for you.
It’s going to be tough to spot this detail without taking the car apart, so this might be one for the “tell, don’t show” file. With the roof off and the window panel removed, the mooning doll is clearly visible, shiny butt-crack and all. The monochromatic execution mutes the effect somewhat, admittedly, but it’s an awesome nod to the original car.

That’s not the only detail hidden under the 90 Quattro’s fake sheet metal. The engine and other drivetrain components were also molded into the casting, and as usual, there’s detail on the under body too. Many things might suck in 2026, but Hot Wheels are going just as strong as ever. Remember that the next time somebody shoves some AI slop in your face about declining quality. It just ain’t true.
