The timeline confirms the adjusted plan Li Auto announced on September 23. At the time, the company pushed back the launch from late September to late October while keeping early November deliveries unchanged, saying the move was intended to shorten the wait between placing an order and taking delivery.
The 2026 Li i6 will be equipped with Li Auto’s in-house developed 5C battery and Mach driver-assistance chip, as part of the company’s push to expand the use of in-house core components.
According to earlier regulatory filings, the new model will be offered in single-motor and dual-motor all-wheel-drive versions, retaining the existing design language while adopting semi-hidden door handles.
The Li i6 is a 5-seat all-electric SUV that was launched in September 2025 with a starting price of 249,800 yuan ($37,100) at the time, and has since become a key contributor to Li Auto’s deliveries.
The Li i6 saw 16,979 deliveries in August, up 10.11% from July and accounting for 45.06% of Li Auto’s total deliveries that month, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
