Zeekr, the premium brand of Geely Auto (HKEX: 0175), has begun volume shipments of its 9X luxury hybrid SUV (sport utility vehicle) to the United Arab Emirates, advancing the flagship model’s overseas expansion.
Zeekr announced the move on Weibo on Tuesday. The vehicles departed from the Jiangyin port area of Fuzhou Port, though the company did not disclose the shipment volume.
The 9X is available in 3 variants in the UAE — Ultra, Hyper and Obsidian — priced at 369,900 dirhams ($100,720), 409,900 dirhams and 439,900 dirhams, respectively, according to Zeekr’s local website.
The website also states that deliveries for new orders will begin in December 2026. That schedule applies to new bookings and does not indicate when vehicles in this shipment will be delivered.
The volume shipments mark the latest step in the 9X’s overseas roll-out. When reporting its August deliveries, Zeekr said exports of the model had officially begun that month.
Geely Auto Group CEO Jerry Gan said in April that the 9X was scheduled to begin exports to the Middle East in June, followed by entry into Central Asia in the third quarter and Europe in the fourth quarter.
The Zeekr 9X was launched in China in September 2025 with a starting price of 465,900 yuan ($69,060). It is Zeekr’s first hybrid model, marking an expansion beyond battery electric vehicles in the luxury car market.
On July 28 this year, Zeekr added a 5-seat version of the 9X with a limited-time starting price of 451,900 yuan, seeking to broaden its potential customer base with a lower entry price.
The overseas expansion comes as monthly 9X deliveries recovered after 4 consecutive months of sequential declines. Deliveries came in at 4,108 vehicles in August, up 5.23% from July, though still below the March peak of 10,191.

The 9X recorded 54,881 deliveries in the first 8 months of this year, bringing cumulative deliveries since launch to 76,949, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
Zeekr’s overall deliveries continued to grow, reaching 36,981 vehicles in August, up 109.81% year-on-year and setting a monthly record for the fifth consecutive month. Deliveries totaled 251,188 in the first 8 months.
Zeekr already has a sales presence in the UAE. The brand announced the start of Zeekr 001 and Zeekr X sales in the UAE and Saudi Arabia in March 2024, with the latest 9X shipments further expanding its local lineup.
The 2027 Zeekr 7X will retain the current model’s exterior styling, with the 85-kWh version filling the gap between the existing 75-kWh and 103-kWh battery options.
