Few automakers can match the depth of personalization on offer at the very top of the market — but Porsche has been quietly doing it for decades. While rivals like Rolls-Royce’s Bespoke and Coachbuild, Aston Martin’s Q, Bentley’s Mulliner, and Lamborghini’s Ad Personam get most of the headlines, Porsche’s own bespoke division has been turning customer dreams into reality since the late 1970s.
That division is called “Sonderwunsch” — German for “Special Requests” — and its latest creation is one of the most extraordinary things to wear a Porsche badge. The Panamera Turbo Sonderwunsch is a one-off, custom-built version of the Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid, conceived to showcase the full range of the program’s capabilities. It made its debut at the Icons of Porsche Festival, a Dubai-based automotive event dedicated to the German brand.
Inside and out, this Panamera is unlike anything that rolls off the standard production line. From a cigar humidor in the center console to a bespoke paint finish laced with real gold flakes, every detail has been considered. Here’s a closer look at what makes it so special.

The interior of the Panamera Turbo Sonderwunsch is rich in personal touches, with aesthetic features and technology that showcase Porsche’s commitment to fulfilling customers’ wishes. The color scheme of the interior echoes the unique colors used on the outside of the car; the contrast color Avium Metallic, for example, appears in external details and in several interior trim elements. This shade was developed specifically for the Panamera Turbo Sonderwunsch project.
The dashboard and door panels are upholstered in black leather with red contrast stitching. The same shade used in the stitching — Barrique Red — is also used for the seatbelts. On the door panels, chestnut wood trim elements add a further layer of refinement to the cabin’s high-end feel.

The Panamera Turbo Sonderwunsch’s interior is also decorated with unique badges on the front seats that pay homage to Porsche’s history: they display the coordinates of Zuffenhausen and Leipzig, the locations where the Panamera was developed and produced.

The unique touches added to the interior are not limited to colors, materials, and textures: the Panamera Turbo Sonderwunsch is also equipped with a few special features you are not likely to see on a regular Panamera anytime soon. The first is a cigar humidor, located in the center console’s storage compartment. The humidor features cedarwood inserts and a hygrometer that ensures the optimal level of humidity is maintained at all times. A glass cover lets the vehicle’s occupants see the products inside.
The other standout luxury feature is a champagne cooler integrated into the rear seat. The cooler accommodates a small bottle and two glasses, and is crafted from black leather decorated with Sonderwunsch lettering.
…And A Unique Exterior Design, Too

The interior is not the only part of the Panamera Turbo Sonderwunsch that has been extensively customized. The exterior is equally striking, led by a specially created color called Leblon Violet Metallic. This shade transitions into solid black toward the car’s lower third, achieved through a complex production technique. Solid black is also used for the doorsills and the front and rear spoiler lips. The clear coat contains flakes vaporized with real gold, giving the finish a uniquely premium depth and shimmer.
Avium Metallic, the color previously mentioned in relation to the interior, is used for the pinstripes (which carry an integrated Sonderwunsch logo), the 21-inch wheels, and the side window surrounds. The tailpipes are finished in Bronzite, and the look is completed by tinted headlights, taillights, and windows.
The Sonderwunsch Program: The Home Of Bespoke Porsche Creations

The Sonderwunsch program, responsible for the creation of the one-off Panamera of the same name, traces its origins back to 1978. It was established to create custom Porsches through modifications, fulfilling the individual preferences of customers who wanted a unique, bespoke car. Over the decades, the program expanded to encompass an extremely wide range of modifications.
The Sonderwunsch program is divided into three main sections. The first is called “Factory Commission”, and allows customers to select specific colors and trims, creating their dream build directly at the manufacturing stage.

The second is called “Factory Re-Commission”. This part of the program works on existing vehicles: the customer brings their car to Porsche along with details of how they would like it configured. The program is essentially an opportunity for used Porsche owners to reconfigure an existing car in the way they would have done had they purchased it new. The car goes through a “re-building” process and rolls out of the factory as if it had been manufactured a second time.
The last section of the Sonderwunsch program is “Factory One-Offs”. This section creates custom parts not normally found on a particular model — for example, a specific type of rear wing or bespoke wheels that could not be had with the regular production version.
Sonderwunsch is all about taking a customer’s vision for their perfect car and turning it into reality. The Panamera Turbo Sonderwunsch is a “portfolio on wheels” for the program, showing the automotive world exactly what it is capable of.
