    • Pre-sale prices for 3 rear-wheel-drive variants range from 145,900 yuan ($21,520) to 169,900 yuan, taking aim at the Xiaomi SU7.
    • All variants come standard with an 800-volt platform and CATL’s 6C battery, capable of adding more than 400 km of range in 11 minutes.

Geely Auto’s (HKEX: 0175) Galaxy brand will officially launch the all-electric Galaxy TT sedan on September 10 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province.

Multiple Chinese automotive media outlets, including Auto Home, reported the plan on Wednesday. Geely Galaxy’s official social media channels have yet to announce the information.

The model began pre-sales on August 13, with 3 rear-wheel-drive variants priced from 145,900 yuan ($21,520) to 169,900 yuan. Geely Galaxy said on August 28 that pre-orders had surpassed 20,000 units at the time.

The higher-end all-wheel-drive TT Ultra previously began pre-sales on July 21 at 209,800 yuan, with the initial release limited to 999 units.

The Galaxy TT is positioned as a sporty, mid-to-large all-electric sedan. It measures 4,999 millimeters in length, 1,919 millimeters in width and 1,479 millimeters in height, with a wheelbase of 2,920 millimeters.

The model features a fastback design and a drag coefficient as low as 0.22. Its rear is fitted with a 3-position adjustable active electric spoiler that can generate 508 newtons of downforce at its maximum angle of 22.5 degrees.

The rear-wheel-drive variants are powered by a single motor with a maximum output of 245 kW (333 hp). The TT Ultra uses a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system with a combined output of 425 kW and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 3.8 seconds.

CATL (HKEX: 3750) custom-developed and supplies the Shenxing TT battery for the model. All variants use lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry and debut NP 3.0 (No Propagation 3.0) thermal runaway protection technology.

The rear-wheel-drive variants offer CLTC ranges of 540 kilometers and 640 kilometers, with 0 to 100 km/h acceleration times of 7.2 seconds and 6.5 seconds, respectively.

All variants come standard with an 800-volt high-voltage platform and a 6C charging rate. Geely said 11 minutes of charging can add more than 400 kilometers of range.

The model is equipped with 1 LiDAR unit and the J6M chip from Horizon Robotics (HKEX: 9660) , and offers a choice of the Geely Afari Smart Driving (G-ASD) H7 or H5 driver-assistance system.

Its cockpit runs the second-generation Flyme Auto system and features a 10.2-inch instrument cluster, a 15.4-inch central display and a 25.6-inch augmented-reality head-up display. It also has a 23-speaker audio system and a 1.97-square-meter panoramic glass roof.

The Galaxy TT will compete with the Xiaomi (HKEX: 1810) SU7 and Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV) P7+ for younger buyers in China’s roughly 200,000-yuan all-electric sedan market.

The model is particularly important to Geely’s domestic business. The company’s total sales rose 8.01% year-on-year to 270,194 vehicles in August, their highest level this year, but nearly all the increase came from overseas markets.
