Serving as Mercedes-Benz’s in-house performance division, the Mercedes-AMG brand has experimented with various models within the standard Mercedes-Benz lineup, unlocking their potential as high-performance models with bigger engines, improved drivetrains, and more prominent aesthetic features to rival the likes of creations from the BMW M and Audi RS divisions.

From luxury sedans like the S-Class to full-size SUVs, the Mercedes-AMG treatment has touched upon every segment the German brand occupies. A popular segment that is prevalent among current AMG offerings is coupes, ranging from grand tourers to coupe-inspired models. With many Mercedes-AMG coupe models currently available in the range, it’s worthwhile to review what options there are for those looking for a traditional two-door model, or models with coupe-style designs that benefit from the Affalterbach treatment.

All information on the featured models has been sourced directly from the manufacturer; manufacturers reserve the right to update this at any time. Prices are correct at the time of writing and exclude destination, options, taxes, and other fees. Automakers reserve the right to update these at their own discretion and without notice.

    Two-Door AMG Coupes

For buyers targeting a traditional two-door Mercedes-AMG coupe, with the option to choose between a fixed hardtop tourer or an open-top convertible, there are plenty to choose from. We’ve outlined all of them, arranged by nameplate and starting prices (cheapest to most expensive) below.

    CLE Coupe

Since its addition to the brand’s lineup, the Mercedes-Benz CLE has consolidated both the two-door C-Class and E-Class Coupe/Cabriolet of previous generations into one unified nameplate, positioned below the more expensive two-door AMG GT coupe models.

    2027 CLE 53 Coupe: $77,400

    2025 Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 Coupe side profileMercedes

The sole AMG variant currently available in the CLE range is the CLE 53 Coupe. Currently, the cheapest two-door coupe in the AMG lineup, it features a 3.0L turbocharged inline-six cylinder with mild hybrid assistance, enabling it to produce 443 hp and a 0–60 mph time within 4.2 seconds. Only all-wheel drive is featured with the AMG CLE 53 Coupe, as well as a nine-speed automatic transmission.

The CLE 53 is expected not to be the only AMG-enhanced model on offer, with details of a V8-powered CLE 63 variant (which could also reintroduce the ‘Black Series’ nameplate to this two-door Mercedes coupe) expected to be released in the coming months as Mercedes-AMG seeks a return to V8 engines in selected future models.

“Along with the facelift, AMG is set to add a V8-powered CLE 63 version to the lineup. That version of the latest Mercedes-Benz twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 should deliver around 600 horsepower, making it the most powerful CLE ever built.”

    GT Coupe

The latest-generation Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe continues to take form as the German brand’s luxury grand tourer, serving as a hardtop version of the current-gen Mercedes-AMG SL Roadster. Both the GT Coupe and SL Roadster share an identical platform and other components, as well as AMG-specific trims and upgraded powertrains; the result being that, out of all currently available Mercedes-AMG coupe models, the GT Coupe has the most diverse range of AMG variants on offer.

    2027 GT 43 Coupe: $108,850

    2026 Mercedes-AMG GT 43 Coupe – ExteriorMercedes-AMG

The entry-level AMG variant of the GT Coupe, the GT 43 brings the smallest Affalterbach-tuned powertrain to the grand tourer: a 2.0L turbocharged inline-four cylinder with mild hybrid assist that produces 416 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. Even with the smallest powertrain available, the GT 43 puts down decent figures for an AMG sports car, with 0–60 mph achieved within 4.5 seconds.

    2027 GT 55 Coupe: $137,450

Exterior view of the Mercedes-AMG GT55Mercedes-Benz

Moving up to the AMG GT 55 trim, the AMG GT Coupe receives a bump in power and torque thanks to the inclusion of a V8 powertrain under the hood. The 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 outputs 469 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque, routed to all four wheels via a nine-speed automatic transmission.

    2027 GT 63: $184,000

If buyers seek even more power from the twin-turbocharged V8 powertrain, the GT 63 Coupe should satisfy, as it boasts a further increase in power and torque to 577 hp and 590 lb-ft, respectively. The nine-speed automatic transmission and 4MATIC all-wheel-drive configuration remains the same as other AMG GT Coupe variants.

    2027 GT 63 S E Performance: $205,000

    2025 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance CoupeMercedes-Benz

The most powerful Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe is the AMG GT 63 S E Performance, which adds a single electric motor to the 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8, increasing to a combined 805 hp and reducing the 0–60 mph time to 2.7 seconds. The partially electrified AMG GT variant also produces the highest torque figures, with 1,047 lb-ft of torque from the V8 engine and electric motor combined.

    2027 GT 63 Pro 4Matic+: $205,000

If buyers want one of the most powerful AMG GT Coupe variants that doesn’t rely on the inclusion of electrification, the AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ brings the highest output figures out of all the non-electrified powertrains available, with 603 hp and 0–60 mph within 3.1 seconds. It is also within the same price range as the 63 S E Performance models.

    Four-Door AMG Coupes

While these AMG models don’t follow the standard conventions of a coupe, they are marketed and positioned as a variant of the coupe body style, bringing the benefits of rear doors along with the sloping lines that make the coupe body attractive to some buyers.

    CLA Coupes

Currently, the entry-level four-door coupe-sedan in Mercedes-Benz’s lineup is the CLA, which remains available for the 2026 model year in two AMG variants that feature four-cylinder powertrains in different configurations.

    2026 CLA 35: $56,600

    Front shot of a 2020 Mercedes-AMG CLA 35Mercedes-Benz

The entry-level model in the AMG lineup is served by the CLA 35, powered by a 2.0L turbocharged inline-four with hybrid assistance producing 302 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, sent to all four wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic. 2026 is due to be the final model year the CLA 35 will be offered in the US market, as the current generation CLA-Sedan is discontinued from the global product range.

    2026 CLA 45 S: $67,550

    Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S Coupe, Front 3/4 Rolling, Matte Grey Mercedes-AMG

Moving up a notch, the AMG-enhanced CLA 45 S omits any hybrid assistance to use a standard gasoline 2.0L turbocharged inline-four pushing out 416 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. Just like its smaller-engined counterpart, 2026 will be the final model year the CLA 45 S will be offered in Mercedes-AMG’s US product range, as it’s also slated to be retired from the CLA model range.

Pricing trends on the used market for the CLA 45 S also indicate that this Mercedes-AMG coupe model is becoming very susceptible to depreciation over time, with average pricing dropping towards the $35k range as of this writing.

    2027 GT 55 4-Door: Price TBC

The long-awaited successor to the last-generation AMG GT 4-Door Coupe is another Mercedes-AMG coupe sedan to look forward to when it finally begins sales by the end of 2026. Pricing is to be confirmed for now, but the AMG GT 4-Door now utilizes fully electric powertrains across its two variants, the GT 55 and GT 63. The entry-level GT 55 is confirmed to use three electric motors, pushing out 805 hp and 0–60 mph within 2.4 seconds, with details about the top-line GT 63 also to be confirmed in the near future.

“The 2027 Mercedes-AMG GT 55 4-Door Coupe is the entry-level model, with three drive motors providing a maximum of 805 horsepower and 1,328 pound-feet of torque for short bursts. AMG 4Matic+ all-wheel drive is standard… [it has] a maximum WLTP range of 434 miles on the WLTP scale; figure an EPA rating of 370 miles or so.”

    AMG Coupe SUVs

Similar to four-door sedans, the coupe-sedan SUV/crossover segment remains an option for buyers of luxury brands like Mercedes-AMG, who may be targeting coupe-inspired aesthetics with the practicality offered by these larger vehicles.

As of 2026, Mercedes-AMG offers variants based on two coupe SUV/crossover nameplates within the German luxury marque.

    GLC Coupe

The entry-level crossover coupe-sedan model in Mercedes-Benz’s lineup, the GLC Coupe, is Mercedes-Benz’s answer to the likes of the BMW X4 and Porsche Macan, with two AMG variants currently available.

    2026 GLC 53 4MATIC+ Coupe: $75,900

    2027 Mercedes-AMG GLC 53 CoupeMercedes-AMG

The base trim of the GLC AMG variants is served by the GLC 53 4MATIC+, featuring the latest AMG turbocharged inline-six that now incorporates mild hybrid assistance for higher power and torque outputs. The GLC 53 produces 443 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque, along with 4MATIC all-wheel drive as standard and a nine-speed automatic transmission.

    2026 GLC 63 S E Performance: $93,450

Stepping up to the GLC 63 S E Performance Coupe sees the turbocharged inline-six replaced with a smaller 2.0L turbo inline-four plug-in hybrid powertrain, pushing out 671 hp and 752 lb-ft of torque combined.

    GLE Coupe

Formerly known as the M-Class, the coupe-sedan version of the midsize GLE SUV continues to be available in Affalterbach-enhanced form across two variants, bringing different power figures and powertrains based on buyers’ preferences and budgets.

    2026 GLE 53 Coupe: $92,150

    2024 – 2026 Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe exteriorMercedes

The AMG-enhanced GLE Coupe range begins with the GLE 53, featuring a 3.0L turbocharged inline-six with hybrid assistance that produces 429 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque, with 0–60 mph achieved in less than five seconds.

    2027 GLE 63 S Coupe: $133,150

The revised GLE 63 S Coupe for MY2027 is one of the most powerful coupe-crossovers available under the AMG brand, with power coming from a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 with hybrid assistance derived from its AMG GT Coupe counterparts. Figures are rated at 603 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque combined, with 0–60 mph within 3.7 seconds.
