- More than 5,056 local families have chosen Li Auto vehicles since it entered Uzbekistan in October 2025.
- Li Auto now has four stores in Uzbekistan, with two more retail centers set to open soon.
Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI) has brought its updated flagship SUV (sport utility vehicle) to Uzbekistan, expanding its presence in the Central Asian market.
The Chinese automaker held a launch event on July 30 at the Humo Arena in Tashkent, the Uzbek capital, officially introducing the all-new Li L9 to the local market, according to a press release on Monday.
Cumulative global sales of its L series have topped 1.3 million units, with more than 5,056 families in Uzbekistan having chosen the brand’s vehicles, Li Auto said.
The company officially entered Uzbekistan in October 2025, one of the starting points of its overseas expansion.
It has partnered with local dealer groups including Control Auto, Vector, Aster and Sultanov Motors to set up official retail and service centers in three cities — Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara.
Four stores are currently in operation, with two additional retail centers scheduled to open in the near future.
In May, Li Auto held its first owner event in Uzbekistan, collecting user feedback to improve product adaptation.
The new-generation Li L9 went on sale in China on May 15, starting at 459,800 yuan ($67,720).
It is powered by the company’s third-generation extended-range system, offering a WLTC pure-electric range of 350 kilometers and a combined range of 1,370 kilometers.
The vehicle comes standard with an 800-volt active suspension chassis, steer-by-wire and rear-wheel steering, while the cockpit features a 29-inch panoramic screen and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8797 platform.
Li Auto carried out dedicated calibration for Uzbekistan’s road conditions, climate and charging standards to ensure reliability in high-temperature and dusty environments.
To improve the localized cockpit experience, Li Auto is working with Central Asian technology company Yandex.
The all-new Li L9 will deeply integrate Yandex Maps’ intelligent navigation and real-time traffic information, and provide access to digital content services including Yandex Music and Kinopoisk.
The vehicle also supports local language interaction, local charging protocol adaptation and map data optimization.
“Our cooperation with Yandex and our excellent local dealer partners ensures that every touchpoint — from sales to after‑sales, from the vehicle interface to everyday life, truly meets the needs of Uzbek customers,” said Nestor Wu, head of international business at Li Auto, at the event.
Customers who buy vehicles through authorized channels will receive official warranty coverage, certified repairs, genuine parts supply, technical support and continuous OTA software updates.
The launch is a milestone in Li Auto’s global strategy. The company entered Central Asia, the Caucasus and North Africa in 2025, and has continued its regional expansion this year.
The all-new Li L9 was launched in Kazakhstan earlier in July. Li Auto also reached an agreement with local automotive group Allur to start localized assembly at its plant in Kostanay, making Kazakhstan its first overseas production base.
Cumulative deliveries of the Li L9 surpassed 300,000 units in July. The model was first launched in June 2022.
Li Auto delivered 30,468 vehicles globally in July, down 0.86% year-on-year, a much narrower decline than the 14.84% drop in June.
The company also plans to enter the European battery electric vehicle market in the second half of this year.
Li Auto said its L-series models are set to begin local production in Kazakhstan.
