- The H10 is the first boxy model built on GWM’s Global One platform, with a limited-time starting price of 214,800 yuan ($31,600) in China.

GWM’s (HKEX: 2333) Haval brand said Friday that the new large H10 SUV (sport utility vehicle) will officially launch in China on August 5.
The model began pre-sales on July 18, offering 4 variants with limited-time prices starting at 214,800 yuan ($31,600). Its regular pre-sales price range is 219,800 yuan ($32,370) to 239,800 yuan.
The 5-seat Hi4 1.5T Max and 6-seat Pro variants both have a pre-sales price of 219,800 yuan and a promotional price of 214,800 yuan. The 6-seat Max is priced at 224,800 yuan after incentives, while the top-tier 6-seat Ultra costs 234,800 yuan.
The H10 is GWM’s first boxy model based on its Global One platform and made its debut in late June.
The plug-in hybrid is the company’s latest attempt to gain ground in the family-vehicle market above 200,000 yuan. The model received 22,615 pre-orders within the first 12 hours of pre-sales, according to data previously released by GWM.
The platform has previously supported GWM’s push upmarket. The Wey V9X flagship SUV was the first production model based on the Global One S platform and launched on May 18 with a starting price of 349,800 yuan.
Unlike many rugged-looking rivals, the H10 uses a unibody construction rather than a traditional body-on-frame design. The choice prioritizes urban ride comfort and transportation for larger families over extreme off-road capability.
The 5-seat version measures 5,138 millimeters in length, 2,050 millimeters in width and 1,970 millimeters in height. The 6-seat version extends the length to 5,299 millimeters while retaining the same width and height. All variants have a 3,000-millimeter wheelbase.
The powertrain combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with front and rear electric motors as part of GWM’s second-generation performance-oriented Hi4 hybrid system. It is paired with a dedicated 4-speed hybrid transmission.
The engine delivers a maximum output of 123 kilowatts, while the front and rear motors produce 100 kilowatts and 220 kilowatts, respectively.
The system has a combined output of 440 kilowatts (590 hp) and peak torque of 722 Nm, allowing the H10 to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 4.9 seconds. Those figures are high among plug-in hybrid SUVs in the same price range.
The H10 is powered by a 42.8-kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, offering CLTC electric ranges of 232 kilometers and 227 kilometers, depending on the variant. Its maximum combined range is 1,404 kilometers.
All H10 variants come standard with LiDAR and GWM’s Coffee Pilot 3 advanced driver-assistance system, supported by 27 sensors across the vehicle.
The system supports highway and urban navigation-on-autopilot functions and offers memory parking over routes of as long as 3 kilometers. It can store as many as 100 parking-lot routes.
Making LiDAR standard across the lineup at a price of about 210,000 yuan is one way GWM is responding to the industry’s price war. Chinese automakers have increasingly added higher-end features to lower-priced models rather than cutting sticker prices directly, helping preserve their nominal pricing structures.
Notably, the H10 will use the same name in both domestic and overseas markets. The move reflects a shift in GWM’s approach to group-wide resource integration and global operations after the company previously used multiple naming systems across different markets.
The timing of the H10’s launch is critical for GWM. The company sold 108,080 vehicles in June, down 2.36% from a year earlier but up 7.65% from May.
GWM sold 583,895 vehicles in the first half of the year, representing a 2.48% year-on-year increase.
